We have just made 2.2 live across all App Stores and our website. As always, the feedback we have received from you all during this beta has been an incredible help in both shaping the new features as well as squashing many bugs!
The build we have released is the same as RC3 (build 2005), meaning for the time being whether you use the latest beta version or switch to using the release version they are the same. If you anticipate taking part in the next beta you may wish to keep your current beta version installed, as this will be updated on auto update when a new beta is available. This will either be a 2.2 patch if we feel one is needed, or moving straight onto a 2.3 beta.
It would be impossible for us to do what we do without your support, and I just wanted to say a huge thanks for everything you have contributed to this release.

To the Affinity People.
Discovered some defects after tried scaling a bit more than usual with a bit more complex shapes.
This was mainly on:
- Stroke
- Effects (FX)
- Rounded corner with "corner tool". Even with the box for "scale with object" checked.

Also been buggy sometimes with the corner tool if moving and rotating object a bit after adding the "rounded corners".
Aware of the expand / bake things to avoid this with simple objects. But this is related to more advanced and none destructive processes in general.
Also if possible to have "scale with object" with "corner tool" instead of "baking", it would be nice.

Hey @Ash, first of all thank you to Affinity Community and the Team, for providing such a great bundle of tools to explore our creativity and hobby. But We all aware that everyone doesn't use big or large displays in that case minimizing the side menus or panels would increase the productivity similar to Adobe Creative Suits. For now, all panels could either be closed or close the group option is there. Please provide the option to minimize all the Layer, Text or Character Panels. This feature is already available in most design Tools like Corel Draw Dockers, Figma Panes, All Adobe Creative Cloud. 
When this thing could add up in our Affinity Tools ?
 

I tried that thing but still you can see that even if I have minimized all the panes still the artboard view space remains the same it did not increase the view area. Can we do something like this as we are all getting used to this type of functionality or minimal view of side panes? I hope this will help a lot to the new users and existing users as well.

graphics_lag_affinity_designer.mov Designer. Ver 2.1.0
Rectangle tool with thick stroke (as an example). Drag to move the square/rectangle shape. Skew on the vertical, and drag to move. Continue drag to move the shape - severe lag appears.  See video attached.  I am using a Wacom Intros Pro, but I can replicate this using a standard mouse.
Running on Mac Studio with Apple M1 Ultra 64GB RAM on macOS Ventura 13.4

1. To import MS Word tables correctly, at the moment docx tables dont keep the same dimensions as original.
2. Resource Manager able to update all imported files not just images ie. text and spreadsheet files.
DESIGNER
1. Add sharp corner nodes to the warp group similar to your standard shape editing with curved, cusp and sharp nodes.
2. Proper 100% vector brushes in particular calligraphy brushes and make your own. (like now but vector and not png)
3. Vector eraser.

Patterns are still the big Achilles heel of affinity.  Please include vector patterns or at least the ability to add them to the palette in bitmap format. This is the only reason why I keep using illustrator. Affinity vs Illustrator:

And thanks for the clarification of pages and artboard, , although I would like this option to be available in all Affinity applications.

From another topic, I think you may be talking about Designer, and Artboards. Artboards are not pages.
In Publisher, the only application with pages, you can already apply Guides (and column guides) to all pages by using Master Pages. And you can change the Margins on all pages using Document Setup, again in Publisher.

I have 144 pages and i need to create the same margins on every page. How do i apply what is on one artboard to all the other artboards? Thanks, Jess

I also vote for this feature request.
I wanted this for a very long time and it was one of my most desired interface upgrades for V2. (which unfortunately wasn't implemented)
I think the option to customize the interface with flyout panels would be a big upgrade in terms of usability and customizability, especially on smaller screens.
I work primarily on a laptop and using only 1 column of panels feels restrictive. (I know we can be display them in multiple columns side by side, but than we loose a third of the screen)

I absolutely agree, I also have the same feeling.
On the other hand, this implementation in the interface seems basic and necessary to me.
 

I don't know why they do it, but there's a seemingly core unit of forum users that seek to diminish and/or discredit the need/desire/usefulness of any suggestions of possible improvements to the Affinity software, no matter how objectively obvious a feature request or suggestion's benefits are. They'll pick on anything they can to do this. It's so obvious a pattern of behaviour, so dogged and determined that their temerity is somewhat shocking.
Especially given that @TonyO is quite obviously a high value professional user with a need for the feature fluency, speed and stability of Designer (which he's seemingly happy with). In none of these areas is it fair to consider Publisher to be anywhere near close to Designer. Especially when it comes to stability with that much going on - which is probably in his top ten criteria.
And there's significant reductions in performance and functionality when attempting to pretend that Publisher is Designer.
This suggestion is merely the addition of something that's in the iPad app, and become somewhat of a staple within all sorts of creative apps from all sorts of industries.
And a very good idea, I think, especially considering what we can all probably agree on with regards the stability of Publisher...
 
 
 
 

I can't be the first one to think of or suggest this (i only did one quick forum search), but it would be more than awesome to be able to have a secondary studio panel for lesser used panels that operates like the ipad version, where click the icon to show the panel, and it auto collapses once you click off of using it. Even using the ipad side bar offset from the main studio panels.

Can you add a blend tool to blend two different objects and set the number of blends it will have and the colors?
Like a circle one size to a circle larger with 15 steps in the blend say red at one end and yellow at the other end.

Funny thing, for me it's the opposite. I like the new UI better but hope for further improvements (e.g., buttons for the studio panels and more right-click context options).

Swatches Studio does not retain palette settings.
I'm using  a shared System Palette and want to make it a default one for RGB/8 and RGB/16 docs but nothing happens.
I've tried restarting the APP too.

Also, this is a "cosmetic one" that impacts a little bit in usability for large resolutions
I'd suggest to find a bigger size for Medium Swatches

If I want to do this quickly, I just hit tab. But it's not what i'm looking for : reducing the UI, not hiding it.
Another software I won't name, can do this the way I think : just click on the small double chevrons and the whole panel is reduced to icons.

The only available option to "reduce" interface is only to hide it.
I would like to shrink the interface when I need to have more space on my work area. With just a button, all the studio windows are reduced to an icon, if you need to check the panels, just click on the icon, like on the iPad OS version.
