paolo.limoncelli Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Swatches Studio does not retain palette settings. I'm using a shared System Palette and want to make it a default one for RGB/8 and RGB/16 docs but nothing happens. I've tried restarting the APP too. Screen Recording 2023-03-09 at 08.45.04.mov Also, this is a "cosmetic one" that impacts a little bit in usability for large resolutions I'd suggest to find a bigger size for Medium Swatches Cheers, Paolo Cuando and Chris B 2 Quote DAUB® Brushes making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers
Staff Chris B Posted March 9, 2023 Staff Posted March 9, 2023 Thanks Paolo. I've reproduced this and will get it logged with the developers. paolo.limoncelli 1 Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Hangman Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 @paolo.limoncelli, it does actually work but the issue or potential bug is that it only works after opening a new document once you've set your default palettes and after you select the relevant default palette from the swatches panel for the first new document, after that subsequent documents then switch automatically to the default palette you've set... It was exactly my use case and no chance on my side. The only solution I've found is deleting those palettes and registering mine as Application Palette Anyway It should work always I guess and not with a "super hidden combo"... This remembers me of Street Fighter II... 🤣 Quote DAUB® Brushes making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers

The trick appears to be, once you've created your default palettes and you then create your first new document you see a new option above the normal list of palettes with a document icon to the left of the palette name which you only see once you create default palettes, i.e., this new default palette only appears in the list after creating a new document and from that point forward, the documents switch correctly when opening new documents... In some ways it kind of makes sense because until you open a new document specifying the colour mode then Photo doesn't know which palette to select and the document you have open when initially creating the default palettes has no default set but it's of course perhaps not very intuitive... paolo.limoncelli Posted March 9, 2023 Author Posted March 9, 2023 That is part of the bug... The APP should show what I set as default... When I create that kind of doc. PS. I did not create anything this case.. Just picked from System palette. Quote DAUB® Brushes making tools for artists, illustrators and doodlers
