phil146
I want to use the Show AF Regions option under Develop Persona (Affinity Photo 7.0)but I find it is grayed out. How does one activate it? Thanks for your help Phil
Staff stokerg Posted June 7, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 7, 2019 Hi phil146, This option for AF (Auto Focus) regions only works with certain cameras. We don't have a full list just yet but that's being worked on. I'm told most Nikon and Canon models should show us this information, but it didn't work with a photo from my Nikon D3200. What camera (make and model) are you using?
phil146
Hi and thanks for responding. I'm using a Nikon D7100. Phil
walt.farrell
Doesn't seem to work with my Nikon D5100, either. Staff stokerg Posted June 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 8, 2019 Thanks @phil146 and @walt.farrell Would both be able to upload a sample image? I've set up a Dropbox link here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/bkNlHruq8NAxoGo6FFmH When i spoke one of our Dev team about this he said he has a way of checking the files to see if we should be showing something, so i'll get him to take a look at them and see if we are failing to read the information for some reason

Staff stokerg Posted June 12, 2019 Staff Share Posted June 12, 2019 Hi Everyone in this thread I've spoken with the Dev team and the issue with the AF regions being in the wrong place for @Ron P. has been resolved and should make it into a future update/beta. For the Nikon users (myself included) there is still some work to be done in this area, the AF data is there, it's not in a format that Photo can currently read. So hopefully this will start working over the next few builds Tom Lachecki and Ron P. 1
Scapa
For what it`s worth, i got the same issue for Eos 7D but slightly worse... With some pictures i got 2 AF fields shown active though using Single Point AF. Obviously none of both is the correct AF Field. Will this also be tackled in the next version or should I upload the raw file too just to be safe?
Staff MEB Posted August 9, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 9, 2019 This should now be fixed in Affinity Photo Customer Beta 1.7.2.151. Please let us know if you still have issues. Thanks you. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
