Unfortunately that does not work for Finnish.

Does not work at all, or works but improperly in some circumstances?

I am sure devs will produce hyphenation solutions for most customer languages. I just want to point out such services are not solvable the same manner in all languages and Serif should assign some work amount to hyphenation solutions.

Spelling can be problematic because of another structure of dic and aff files (comparing to Libre Office dictionares) but hyphenation should work correct. This archive is a compilation of files I found in various sources. So, there are 3 files from 3 sources in attached zip. The problem is Libre Office uses Voikko library for Finnish and there are not standard dic and aff files. Files I attached are created for other applications. Maybe someone can convert aff and dic file if spelling doesn't work.

Hm... So I think the problem is spelling dictionary bacause hyphenation file has same structure as LO hyph file.

EDIT: I checked it, in fact, this is hyphenation dic problem. I installed only hyphenation dictionary file and the AP crashed while tried to use auto-hyphenation. Sorry, this is the only one dict file in web I found. I will try to find another one on my CD's, I remember I have the dictionary files prepared for Apache Open Office I used for Finnish when I worked for an advertising agency from Turku. It was very useful because I can only say hello and say goodbye in Finnish. I will try to find these files but it can take a long time.

souacz -- thaks for advice it works in Czech too.

Díky kolegovi z Polska.

CZ: Ahoj, chci se zeptat, vyřešil jsi tímto dělelní slov? Já zkusil doinstalovat slovníky z různých zdrojů, ale české dělení slov mi Publisher nenabídne.

EN: Czech hyphenation still not working for me. Even if czech .dic files are installed.

I FOUND A SOLUTION :-)

The hyphenation .dic file ("hyph_cs_CZ.dic" in my case) must be placed into Affinity Publisher app itself - in "/Applications/Affinity Publisher.app/Contents/Resources/Dictionaries/". Here you must create a directory with appropriate name ("cs-CZ" in my case) and the hyphenation file place into it.

(So, the hyph. definition file belongs to Publisher app directly - not to System Library.)

Hi there,

I'm not sure if you solved the issue with hyphanation, but here you can download several .dic languages in correct Affinity Publisher hyphenation format:  https://github.com/Kozea/Pyphen (just download the whole directory, .dic files are located in Pyphen/pyphen/dictionaries/).

I found the solution - based on the right place for the dictionary file (final part of my last post).

Anyway - thank you for the dictionary source.

If you place hyphenation files within app package they may be lost in updating the app (I suppose?)

I have placed them in /Users/Fixx/Library/Dictionaries/fi_FI

There are files:
hyph_fi_FI.dic
fi_FI.dic
fi_FI.aff (this may be Affinity autocreated file)
