Hi there!  I'm Shelly!  I have been following this bundle of software around since at least 2018, but wasn't able to buy it until in 2020 when they had a sale, then of course, I got the V2 bundle last year.  I'm mainly a digital painter, and I am hoping the Affinity products will have more updates geared illustrators in the near feature!  So far, this software is wonderful for photo editing and vector illustrations!  Keep it up guys!

Hi, I'm Matt Priestley and I'm one of the Affinity developers. I'll try to help out on any topic, but particularly anything relating to tools, views and document drawing as they're the bits I'm mostly responsible for writing.

Feel free to join me and introduce yourself, too! :)

Hi I have  just [purchased Affinity and trying to get to grips with it.   Although I have brought up the Photo Persona I cannot do the same for the Raw Development one.  Also on downloading it  has come through as an exe file.   Is this okay.

@Helen Herbert

I suggest that you ask your questions in the questions forum (but yes the EXE is fine, and RAW development is for RAW files)

Hi everyone,
I'm Malgosia. I am located in Vienna, Austria. I have been using mostly Affinity Publisher to design my notebooks and journals which I publish on KDP Amazon.  I love the software and I am aware there is still so much to learn.

I am still considering upgrading to the new version. I would appreciate your opinion on this matter.

If anyone can help please... I strike a text box in publisher but cannot make multiple columns as the menu is greyed out. I have re-installled the app to no avail. What can the problem be? I am working on an older Imac running  10.9 (Mavericks). It did work when 1st installed.

This topic is for introductions, not for product usage questions. It would be better for you to post a new topic in the appropriate Questions forum.

Hi, I am Jan from Czech Republic. I am working for more than 20 years in advertising studio using Adobe soft for all that time. As their pricing politics after CS6 became unacceptable for me, I am still working with CS6 and because of it I have stuck on Mac OS Sierra. I have been thrilled when I heard about Serif's developing a serious alternative also to InDesign (Publisher). And I have bought Affinity V1 as well as V2. Unfortunately Affinity V2 don't support such old Mac OS version I am still forced to run on, so I am unable to run Affinity V2 simultaneously with Adobe CS6 to have good conditions for comparing and testing both apps to get know if Affinity (mainly Publisher) is on such level allowing me to leave Adobe (mainly InDesign). I had to install another HDD with Win10 where I can make my tryouts and tests in Affinity V2. From several testing works I have discovered, that full transition is still too "risky" for me (and partial transition is impossible due to OS incompatibility). However I deeply hope, that moment of my complete transition to Affinity is getting near.
I wish Serif team good luck in developing such difficult piece of software (as Affinity apps are) and looking forward to the day I will start use it for serious work.

Hi, my name is Sreng Pagna. I am from Cambodia. I am new here. After trying affinity photo 2 for almost a month, I feel love it, and decided to have it. Hope to learn something from the forum and also hope affinity photo will improve unicode fonts more because some fonts in my language are not supported. ❤️

Hello everyone,

I am Malgosia (Margaret) from Vienna. I have been using Affinity software for over two years. I make Low Content Books and find both Affinity Publisher and Designer great. They make designing so easy. This year I would like to advance my skills. Maybe you can suggest good Affinity courses for me? I am very happy to be part of this community.

Hi everyone, I’m Rajesh, an aspiring creative marketer. The first thing I bought from Serif is the Affinity Designer 2. So far, this has proven to be one of the best investments I've made in my lifetime. As I use Designer 2, I look forward to giving feedback and improving this software to make it more accessible for everyone. And just so you know, I have already been spreading the word about Affinity within my circle. Glad to join you all!

Hi, I'm Richard,

My wife and I use affinity photo, we are beginer users, so have some learning to do.  We used to use Serif Photoplus back in the day.  We hope to find some helpful hints and tips on this forum, and may come on here if we are struggling with something.  We look forward to being part of the forum.  We are both keen on Astro photography, and my wife likes a wide variety of other photography genres including urbex, wildlife and landscapes / cityscapes.

Hi Richard, and welcome to the forum. I was also a great fan of the Serif range, and I found Affinity Photo to be easier to use. I'm not in your league as a photographer, but I do have to turn my 'snaps' and supplied images into eye-catching illustrations for events on a charity website, and I use Photo to do that every day (It's a huge website!). Enjoy the forum and the videos and using Affinity!   Hilary.

Hi, all. I’m Donna. I live in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., which is a Philadelphia suburb. I discovered surface pattern designing three months ago and I’m teaching myself Affinity Design 2 for IPad. It’s hard learning on my own. Plus things are chaotic. There r tutorials on YouTube and Skillshare but the tuturoials are for AD1, AD2, for desktop, and for IPad. So I have to be careful I choose the right one. Plus in a lot of the videos, it’s difficult to see exactly how an instructor is doing something. I’m currently  learning to make art boards for a pattern and pattern preview for a repeat design.  Two steps forward, four back. If anyone has any advice on where to learn, I’m definitely interested. Thank u!
