Please, continue to do what you do now, same way, same quality, and improve it.

I use mac also: does someone know if there is a discount if i buy design and photo even for mac os?

thank you

Hi my name is Mike and I have been introduced to Affinity by a friend who uses a Mac, I use a PC and have found the programme very good.

I am in the UK and use the old Lightroom 5 and as retired didnt want to go with CC and this came along.

Looke a good programme in the little time I have used it, one hour.

One question, can I put this also on my own personal laptop as I go away alot and it would be very useful to have.

Thanks and looking forward to a long time with you all.

Mike

Welcome to the Affinity Forums, Mike. :)

You can install as many copies as you like for personal use. If you wanted to use the software for commercial purposes and you were sharing it with other users you would need additional licences, but as you're retired you probably don't need to concern yourself with such matters.

I have been using Affinity Photo since it was first made available in the App' Store.

I never purchased any retouching software if excepted for what Apple provided with their various OS's.

I started photography as a hobby, with a particular interest in food and object photography amongst other things.

Although born in Europe, I have spent all my professional career working in various countries over the five continents.

I am currently based in the USA, and as of this short introduction, temporarily in Buenos Aires Argentina.

Although seriously lacking in the photo retouching world, I have been SME for the maintenance software of a major service company, with worldwide users.

While being Subject Matter Expert, or Sustaining Specialist as they say,  I have created tutorials, screencasts, written user's guides, provided assistance, and conducted video-conferences to teach users how to use new features of the software.

I really like Affinity Photo, and their assistance to users.

Cheers,

Pisk.

Hello, my name is Richard and I'm a new Affinity user.  I'm not new to photo editing software and I do like this one so far. I really enjoy and get a lot from the video tutorials.  I do have a question. I want to use the object removal feature, but not like it is shown in the video.  I want to remove and object from one photo and paste it onto another. Is there a video for that? I can't find one. Does that feature exist in Affinity Photo for windows?

Thank you,

Hello, my name is Dennis and I just purchased Affinity recently and have been watching the video tutorials to get up to speed.  I've been using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 prior to purchasing AP and have a question.  In LR6 I'm use to seeing the histogram and having the clipping indicators turned on to see if I clipped any portion of the image.  Does Affinity have similar clipping indicators?

Thank you.

Hi I am Ed, I have been using Xara Designer Pro 11 for a while and still use it.. But when I saw Affinity Designer and Photo for such a good price I figured I would give it a chance. I am very glad I did. Such a great program.. Finally a program to stick with.. :-)  Learn it and learn it well, I say.. I like a company that sticks with it's product and makes it the best they can.. I hope Serif does this.. Some companies dribble the program out so you have to keep purchasing updates in order to get a good program.. I hope Serif is not like that. If so I will keep with them and only buy when I really see something different in the future that I actually need.  Ed :-)

Hi All.

My names John, and I'm a long time Adobe user. Unfortunately, my copy of Lightroom no longer sees Fuji RAW files.

I'm hoping your's will :-)

Even though I'm a long time photographer, I pretty poor with photo editing software, so starting from scratch with this. Looking at the tutorials etc appeals to me.

I have been away from my camera for a few days, plus the weather has been poor. but I'm hoping to get some shooting done in the next few days.

So, Ill be trying it for the first time, in the next few days. If I shoot fine jpg plus RAW, what could possibly go wrong ;-)

Cheers everybody, John

My name is Robert. I'm new to Affinity Photo, but I have used a variety of photo software over the years — Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture, DXO, SilverEfex. So far, I'm delighted with Affinity. That said, the Inpainting Brush Tool does not work. I suspect I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions? (I am running Affinity 1.5.1 on a Mac.)

Hi all,

I am Dave, a Pro 'tog from South Africa. I have always used Serif products to a certain extent, notably Photoplus, Webplus and Drawplus. When the "Plus" range was discontinued, I signed up for Adobe CC Photography plan, which I have used for a while now.

Today I decided to return to Serif with the release of Affinity Photo 1.5 for Windows, and first impressions are excellent. I have cancelled my Adobe CC plan, and can't wait to really get into AP!

Hi All,

I live in France, photographer at almost full time now (many years waiting that).

Mainly a Lightroom user, sometimes I use other apps like GIMP. Affinity Photo interested me because of its features –and its affordable price.

No more Affinity user, because I no longer have any Apple computers, now Linux user.

My name is Raphael Bonelli.

I´m a brazilian graphic designer with a background in Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom.

I've bought Affinity Designer and Photo in the end of 2016 - as an alternative to Adobe Applications and i´m just loving it, already using both in my professional jobs.

I hope to contribute and learn a lot with you all.

Long live to Affinity.

Hello all, just joined this forum.

I bought Affinity Photo as part of my search for an alternative to Lightroom - not interested in renting software.  I've been into photography for a few years.  Just an amateur :)

So after a few days of using AP, I find it is very feature rich.  Solid performance and not too steep of a learning curve.

Hi, I am Allen.

I have been a Serif user since the late "90's.  I think I started with the second or third edition of Page Plus.  Loved it; still do.  Made the switch to Mac and had to run "Parallels" in order to work with the Serif Apps.   Affinity Designer came along several years ago, and is great but not good as far as continuous text flow and additional pages; but, a great step up from "Draw Plus."   Then Affinity Photo, OK.  But it is 2017 and I am still waiting for Affinity Publisher the central work-horse of my design-publishing work.  When are we going to see at least the Beta version of this?

Suggestion:  the ability to open "Draw Plus" documents in Designer.

Sincerely, a huge fan and supporter.
