Minor aesthetic issues. within the brushes panel it is called delete category. in the styles panel it is called remove category. Assets it is the same way, delete category. I would have assumed that they would be all called the same thing.

Hi @Hangman,

The truth is that it is not a big deal to rename things in the code, the way that they named one spiral tools controls... Being that I know programming (java and python) refactoring which is renaming variables in code can be done almost automatically...

The issue "[Win] Styles Panel: Remove Category should be Delete Category" (REF: AF-1299) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.4.0.2175".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.

Is there an overview of what has changed in the internal build "2.4.0.2185".
Already waiting for the update. 😃

We won't see anything until they release the beta. It will likely be a newer build than that number. They're probably still doing all the forum writeups for it. They unhide the forum posts once the beta goes live.

They move the 2.3 threads into the archives to make room for the 2.4 threads, which is what they did for 2.3, but that did not happen yet.

They did mention that they wanted to start 2.4 before the end of the year. The latest for that to happen is if they release it some time this week on a workday, the most common patch day being Thursday from experience. If you don't see any new builds by Friday then it is safe to say that it's been postponed until January.

What I see there is:

"... The feature will get localised during the 2.4 beta, as the translations for these fields are provided (only in French so far)

I kinda expect they will push for Christmas miracle to get the good buzz out there then take their holiday break while people test the new functions... especially if they're planning another sale of any kind soon... it could also be timed for New Years.

We were considering starting a 2.4 beta yesterday, but we have decided to add & test a few more changes before we start, so it will be in the new year but contain more.

I can see why you might think that but the Serif info bot post quoted above is actually suggesting that the localisation/translations will not be included in for new features and fixes until later in the beta and we did not want you saying that the feature was still in English when the beta started. The fix is that Find and replace field names are now capable of localisation. It was not actually not hinting at the beta start date at all 😜

I didn't expect anyone from Serif to give us a timetable, but it works out in a way for me because I have some incentive now to update my presets/preferences in the release version before importing these preferences back into the beta. Long story short, the prior beta had some key functionality in it that I moved a lot of my workflow to it and ended up with both programs setup differently. For example, I had presets/assets in beta I didn't have in release, etc. So I think it's a nice time to double check that our release versions are as needed so when I "restart" beta and import back into it, everything will be how it needs to be already...
