Hello, I somehow have the impression that errors that were fixed in one version are present again in the next update. How can that be? If I draw a rectangle in Affinity Designer Beta 2.5.0 (2437) and create a color gradient in this rectangle, it works without any problems. But if I select a color on the color palette and drag this color into the gradient, Affinity Designer crashes completely.

Hello Hangman, Yes, I had already read the error in the forum with version 2 back then and didn't want to make a special post. I think the error has been around for a long time, but it was always there until version 2.5 not yet fixed. You can see since when the error was logged. Maybe the problem will be solved and it will be there in a next update. Thank you

If I draw a rectangle in Affinity Designer and then create a gradient, it is displayed correctly in Affinity Designer. Now I want to select a color from the color palette. I now drag this color onto the line using Prague and Drop, Affinity Designer immediately crashes. This didn't work in Affinity Designer 2.4.2 and also in the current beta 2.5. But with 1.10.8 this always works without any problems. Is this problem already known? If not, could this be included so that the problem is fixed in a next update?

Personally, I would love to see a video from Affinity Photo on how these textures are applied. The patterns look very good. Thank you for your work and sharing

I created the Greek pattern in Adobe Illustrator because Affinity Designer 2.4 unfortunately doesn't support vector brushes. In Illustrator, however, it works really well. The vector brushes in Illustrator are really outstanding. I then exported it as SVG and re-imported it into Affinity Designer 2.4. Is the Vector Brushes feature planned for Affinity Designer? Maybe in Affinity Designer 2.5?

I also noticed the problem with Affinity Pubisher. Unfortunately, things have become very quiet lately. Various Bugs that were reported have not been fixed to date. I particularly noticed this with the MacOS versions. I'm looking forward to the beta version of Affinity Designer, Photo and Publisher 2.50 to see which errors have now been fixed.

In the current version of Affinity Photo 2.40 the problem still doesn't seem to be fixed. I've tried scanning individual pages with our Brother MFC-L2730DW in various versions and also in the beta version, but without success.

Thank you very much again for the quick help. I previously had version 2.3.1 and then switched to version 2.4.0 productive with the update. Previously there were no problems with the alignment of objects or with the alignment to the guides. I only noticed this today after updating to version 2.4.0. Is there a way to reset everything to factory settings after an update such as the update to 2.4.0? Anyway, it's working again now. The few things I did is set the snap option and reset it under Window --> Studio --> Studio. Thank you again for the great update and keep it up! 😃

I have now selected Window -> Studio -> Reset Studio. I then set the snap option as shown in the screenshot. It works now.

Hello, I got the latest version of Affinity Designer 2.4 today installed on my Mac. To test I have one in AD I created a few auxiliary lines and wanted a rectangle with them Mount dimensions 20 x 20 mm. Unfortunately, the rectangle does not always line up 100% with the auxiliary lines. I made a video about it and I hope you can see exactly what I mean. Hello, Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet as to what could be the problem. I use a Macmini with M1 processor 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. But for me it takes 30 seconds to start the apps again before the program opens. But it seems I'm not the only one having this problem. Is there perhaps an idea what this could be?

Hello Hangman, I've noticed this several times too. Lastly, our Christmas cards. Can you tell me why that is? Is this due to myfonts.com or dafont.com or is it more due to the free fonts? Or Affinity Designer that can't display the font correctly?
