Staff Mark Daniel Posted July 4, 2023 Staff Share Posted July 4, 2023 What you've done is on Page 1 overridden the margin colour for that one spread. You might need to do this if, for example, that page has a coloured background that makes the margin colour hard to see. Other spreads using Master A will continue to use Master A's margin colour. If you change Master A's margin colour it will change all the spreads that use that Master unless you've overridden it. If you reapply Master A it will revert to Master A's margin colour and be linked again. In Document Setup you can change the margin colour for the whole document. debraspicher

Got it!  I hope the HELP instructions will include your more detailed explanation.  This is a great feature!! StuartRc
Hi Mark I would just thought I would check again. So AD 2.2 | Windows 10 In some instance the swatch changes in the Document Set Up Dialogue and the Margins in the Guides Panel do not reflect the changes you have made to the document. So the Document shows the colour change.. but when you go back into the Panel the swatch is blue but the margin | Guide is red! Added video: At 1.13 you can see swatch is blue | margin + guides are red! Also as other comment there is no option to change the colour of the guide in the New Document Panel Under the Tab 'Margins' blue swatch.mp4 Quote  Affinity Version 1 (10.6) Affinity Version 2.5.6.2887 All (Designer | Photo | Publisher)  Beta; 2.6.0.2950 OS:Windows 10 Pro 22H2 OS Build 19045.4412+ Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19056.1000.0 Rig:AMD FX 8350 and AMD Radeon (R9 380 Series) Settings Version 21.04.01 Radeon Settings Version 2020 20.1.03) + Wacom Intuous 4M with driver 6.3.41-1
Hangman
Hi @StuartRc, This appears to be very much Windows specific as it's working as expected on Mac. Out of interest, do you see the same issues when using the Close button in the respective dialog windows rather than the 'X' to close the windows? I ask because 'X' isn't an option on Mac so just wondering if this is perhaps part of the issue here. It looks like the presence of Artboards is causing the issue here on both Mac and Windows. Without an artboard it should behave. It seems the Artboards have individual Margin colours, whereas Column Guides and Ruler Guides all share the same colour. I'll get this logged! Thanks again StuartRc and Hangman 1
Hangman
Hi @Sean P, Do you happen to know whether the inability to set Margin colours by typing values in the Document Setup colour panel window is already logged? Although repeated clicking of swatch button (Margins (right)) on Guides Panel seemed to be a bit intermittent today, had to hit in centre for pop-up sliders to appear. Quote  Affinity Version 1 (10.6) Affinity Version 2.5.6.2887 All (Designer | Photo | Publisher)  Beta; 2.6.0.2950 OS:Windows 10 Pro 22H2 OS Build 19045.4412+ Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19056.1000.0 Rig:AMD FX 8350 and AMD Radeon (R9 380 Series) Settings Version 21.04.01 Radeon Settings Version 2020 20.1.03) + Wacom Intuous 4M with driver 6.3.41-1

Return
Yes , artboards can have it's own guides/grids and margins. I think it's a feature, hope Serif would also make this happen for the bleed. Quote
