kat Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 How do I delete just the mask without Rasterize? Quote Affinity Suite v2.5, Mac Mini M2 Pro 2023, Sonoma, OS 14.1.1
smadell Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 click on the mask’s thumbnail so that only the mask layer is selected, then hit the Delete key. ps - make sire nothing is selected when you hit delete, or AP will try to delete only what’s inside the marching ants, not the entire layer Old Bruce and kat 1 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2, Affinity Publisher 2, Affinity Designer 2 (latest retail versions) - desktop & iPad Culling - FastRawViewer; Raw Developer - Capture One Pro; Asset Management - Photo Supreme Mac Studio with M2 Max (2023); 64 GB RAM; macOS 13 (Ventura); Mac Studio Display - iPad Air 4th Gen; iPadOS 18

smadell Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Glad you got it sorted out. kat Posted February 28, 2020 Author Posted February 28, 2020 Mostly it was getting my brush to delete easier. Most brushes require going over and over and over to delete on mask. Quote Affinity Suite v2.5, Mac Mini M2 Pro 2023, Sonoma, OS 14.1.1

That depends on the type of brush and the settings for opacity, flow and hardness in the context toolbar. kat Posted March 2, 2020 Author Posted March 2, 2020 How do I select just the mask so I can see just the mask? In PSD I could shift, or opt the mask to show just the mask. On the thumbnail I can see what speckles in the background. Select mask and painting over area gets me no where. Kat Quote Affinity Suite v2.5, Mac Mini M2 Pro 2023, Sonoma, OS 14.1.1

On Windows, Alt+click on the mask thumbnail in the Layers panel. On Mac it might be Option+click. kat 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. kat Posted March 2, 2020 Author Posted March 2, 2020 Couldn't get it to composite with mask so I could work on mask and see image. So I applied mask and will deal with it that way. Tried channels, lost cause. Back to youtube for masking. On the other hand using mixer brush and frequency sep work. And liquefy let me twirl mustache, so I'm making progress. For example, my wife's 2015 iMac came with the model A1644 Magic Keyboard, the same one shown in this YouTube video. It it marked "option" in large letters along the bottom of the keycap, with "alt" in smaller letters above that. Later models replaced "alt" with the ⌥ symbol.
