th_studio Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 Each Affinity software has alignment option which is great. But it'd be much better if we can have a separate panel for it which we can dock anywhere as we wish. Currently we've to click on the alignment icon each and every time when we need it, and that's kind of boring. What do you think friends? Cuando 1 Quote
mac_heibu Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 It is one click. Doesn‘t take that much of my lifetime. So I am fine with this. PaulEC 1 Quote

Fixx Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 I prefer panels to bars. In Affinity that is a small problem as many operations use toolbar options. Quote
Jowday Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 When a one click operation is far away ... one click operations turn into Frodos long journey. I don't understand why studios can be moved around and the top toolbars not. On a high res monitor or with several monitors it makes no sense and evolves into mouse mania. The software continued to disappoint and not deliver.

I used to think the same, but, have you seen the "Show Alignment Handles" option? This will allow you to align all of the selected Objects to anything you want. See video below for some examples: AlignmentHandles.webm Best regards! th_studio 1 Quote Windows 10 and Windows 11 :: http://mithferion.deviantart.com/ Oxygen Icons :: GCP Icons :: iOS 11 Design Resources :: iOS App Icon Template :: Free Quality Fonts (Commercial Use) :: Public Domain Images How to do High Quality Art :: Mesh Warp / Distort Tool Considerations :: Select Same / Object - Suggestions :: Live Glassmorphism Effect

It is one click if you are working in Designer. In Publisher when you have two facing pages, you can't align the object to the centre of one page with one click. A one click will take the object between the two pages. To align it to the centre of one page you have to click the alignment icon then choose page. And it does not remember your last action, so you will have to go through these steps each time you want to perform this operation. I find it annoying. Quote
