William Overington got a reaction from Mvdarbs in Can we talk about PANTONE colours
I asked Bing Chat AI the following.

Can you find rgb values for the Pantone colour 19-3832 TCX please.

Here is the reply that I got.

The RGB values for the Pantone color 19-3832 TCX are as follows:
    Red: 64
    Green: 63
    Blue: 111
These values represent the intensity of the red, green and blue primary colors needed to achieve the desired color. Please note that these values are specific to digital displays and may not exactly match the physical Pantone color swatch. Always consult Pantone color publications for accurate color matching.

    I hope this helps.

There is nothing special about those frames. It is common for frames to come with cutouts/mats such as you have been describing.

All users of Affinity apps are going to use external resources of one description or another, so does it really matter if people on the forum are interested in what frames are available for framing their artwork? Isn't the point of producing photos, art, books, mags, flyers etc to implement them with real world external resources, be it a framed image, paper, a digital display board, etc, a means to an end and the bit in the middle "Affinity" being a step in that process/workflow.

FYI, you can't lock a thread. Only moderators can do that.

“The image is based from an image that I designed in 1977 as best I remember it” doesn’t exactly shout “Using Affinity software in depth.” This entire series of escalating posts from Mr. Overington appears to me rather more as a feeble attempt to justify what was originally a dubious premise. In the Resources section of the Forums, several very professional templates have been provided by generous Forum members. They are easily adjustable, and elegant to use.

William Overington reacted to walt.farrell in Discussion on whether Frames are "Resources"
Note, though, that Resources is not really the place to have long discussions and ask questions (as you did in your initial post). The place for that is Questions, if appropriate in these forums at all.
And as these forums are for discussions about Affinity products, and things useful in using them, I kind of agree with @PaulEC that discussion of specific frames (just like discussion of specific printers, or specific cameras) is not really relevant in these forums at all.
I also agree that it would be nice if the Moderators responded to the member who posted the topic, but they do not have much time to spend right now, while the company is closed for holiday break, and may be taking some shortcuts. In any case, William, you should probably consider that if you try posting about certain things, and the posts are deleted, that you should stop posting about that topic

I can only assume that a product for displaying your work is not considered a resource for Affinity products per se. (I can see that this could lead to endless posts about frames, display books etc. none of which are specific to Affinity software.) However I must say that I think it would be nice if when a moderator decides to remove a post, for whatever reason, they send a pm to the poster to tell them why their post has been removed.

Open Affinity Publisher, make a document of the appropriate size, A4, Letter, Legal, 4 inches by 5 inches, what ever size you want. Draw a text frame using the Frame Text tool.

Paste your Wordpad text into the frame, you should see a red triangle with an eye indicating overflowing text. Shift Click on the little red triangle and you'll get many more pages made automatically.

    Hi @William Overington
Create a text frame Chose File > Place. Select the Wordpad file to load the text into frame. You should see an red triangle (lower righ side of text frame see picture below). If she's not there, there is not enough text to fill the frame. Hold down SHIFT and click on that triangle. Affinity Publisher should create the pages for you automaticly. ( As many as are needed).

I drew the Celtic Knot in Affinity Designer. To be honest with you, it was quite complicated to do. I used the 'Erase' blend mode, in order to do it. I want, at some point in the future, record a tutorial on how to draw it.

I think this is taking accessibility and cultural concerns to an extreme that's past the point of usefulness and will, instead, simply create a new version of the same problem.
English is the language for this, already. Just do away with the limited translations, as that's sure to offend someone. Just offend everyone for whom English isn't a language they understand, as this is the least number of people you can offend with a single language choice.

And the easiest solutions already exist: visual text translation tools on all phones.  Point your camera at any sign, any treatise even, and the whole thing is instantly translated to any language of your choosing, and can even be read out loud.

Or you could use Chinese, as it's the most high density pictographic, iconographic and symbolic language going, and understood by more than all but the global language... and using it would offend the second least number of people possible when picking a single language.

Hi Keith. They're both in Formula Guide Solid Coated V5. Choose it from Swatches and then type 875 or reflex into the search field at the bottom of the panel and you'll find them easily.

Perhaps, if you post a thumbnail of the poster so people do not have to download and open it to see it, you will get more responses. That way more people will be able to react to it without downloading.

    Maybe like this?
