    Hi @Murkku,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums
Set the Channel of the Levels adjustment to Alpha to be able to affect the mask. By default its set to Master.

I didn’t know I needed this but after playing with it on my Mac, it’d be nice to have on iPad as well. Maybe rearrange the select same/object button to include this query type?

Panel background seems dark compared to other panels in the Light Theme. "Scope" label is in white, on light grey in the Light Theme. There is no way to rename a Query. Could the Layer Type be collapsible? Takes a lot of space if you aren't using the options. No confirmation for deleting Queries.

It may be helpful to indicate the current in/visible state of the query by a different colour of the eye icon...

    It looks really great!

Just one question: shouldn't the user be able to move states from file to file or be able to set some of them as a default?
I have already imagined how I would make some ready-made scripts for quick control of all locked objects or, for example, I will make a mnemonic rule for myself that I will start all auxiliary layers with tilde and then it will be easy to hide them all at once.

shapelet reacted to GarryP in line still shows beneath text on curved path in Preview mode
SupaBees, from how I now understand it:
In Publisher, the Stroke settings for a curve – when it’s by itself, just a basic curve – are those in the Stroke Panel. However, when you add text to a curve, the Stroke settings for that curve move to the Text Frame Panel and the Stroke settings in the Stroke Panel become those for the text. (If you look in the History you can see a “Convert to text frame” entry.) Once text has been added to a curve, you can then use the Text Frame Panel to set the Stroke of the curve or the Stroke Panel to set the Stroke of the text.
In Designer this is similar but, because Designer doesn’t have Text Frames, the curve Stroke is hidden from the user. Because of this, Designer automatically converts the Stroke of the curve to None as, otherwise, there would be no way for the user to change it. Designer converts the curve Stroke to None as a courtesy since that’s what most people would want it to do in most cases. (Duplicate the curve before adding text to it if you want to also keep the curve.)
Manually setting the Stroke to None in Publisher before adding the text to the curve is the same as what Designer does automatically. I don’t know why Publisher doesn’t also automatically set the Stroke to None too. One of those quirks I guess.
Converting a curve to a text frame is a bit strange but I suppose it’s something we just have to get used to.
My attached GIF shows what happens in Publisher. Hopefully this will make it a bit clearer.

shapelet reacted to ZufDraw in How to Distort/Free Transform an image?
There is an omission combination of the perspective/warp tool. Look at the image below. This was a simple 2d grid that I put in perpspective and lifted one corner. This is done in PS in two steps but is nearly impossible in AP. In photoshop you can freely transform the 2d grid image  (free transform) into the perspective, then, without applying, you can step to mesh warp. That mesh warp is now aligned to the perspective grid! Meaning the mesh warp points are on all four corners in the 3d grid. Now wou only need to lift one corner.
In AP perspective and warp are completely separate. As soon as I want to go to mesh warp, the perspective warp needs to be applied. Now the mesh warp starts in 2d view again meaning its impossible to warp the (already in 3d) grid.
I can use the warp tool from the start but that's really cumbersome.
So what is needed here is a warp tool that can follow up on the perspective tool without a 'reset' of the selection in between.

shapelet reacted to walt.farrell in Superscript and subscript not working properly?
The handling in 1.7 has changed, and you will find that the 1.7 versions of Photo and Designer have been changed to behave the same as Publisher.
The Serif team has explained that this change was done because the "faked" characters can never quite match the true typographic characters in form, and allowing a mix of faked and typographic forms can give visual imperfections that they decided they don't like. So, now, the typographic support works only for the characters where the font provides support. If you need other characters in super- and subscript forms, you can use the "S" box for all of them, which will ensure a consistent appearance. Or you can use "S" for some and Typographic for others, accepting any visual flaws if they don't bother you.
Also, welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, ViasKumarX.

aaah it's backward.... weird. The confusing thing is: You can see it happening. It centers to spread first (when you select center) so you think that's it! and press "apply". But before you press "apply" you can select the other options... and see that happening TOO... and THEN press apply, to confirm. (it remembers the last state btw.) Thanks Alfred.

You can also change the units from the Context toolbar when the View Tool (hand) is selected. Quicker than going into the Document menu.

Please consider restoring the gutter setting in Grid & Axis Manager. Column Guides are great but they're no substitute for creating multiple icons or logos within a single artboard.
When I watched the Affinity Quickstart Video seeing the gutter setting was one of those WOW moments. It set you guys apart from the competition. Why remove old functionality that worked perfectly well and that many, if not all users might find incredibly useful?

    1. Try using the move tool, once you select your text box you can resize by dragging a corner. Also you can select the text studio and scrub up and down to change text height. You can also enter the text studio and change font and size from there. See below.
    2. Pretty sure that’s been reported before but one of the Serif engineers will likely confirm. Think the units changing dialog box should not have been displayed there.
