Maybe we can encourage using keywords on posts instead of making subcategories? Some projects contain brushes and macros, or brushes and textures? Same wirh free / to buy resources?

[Implemented] Data merge
Przemysław replied to CusumanoCasper's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
+1 to data merge Just want to say that data merge is something I use on daily basis and it's a must for me. I mostly use it for personalised letters, brochures or numbered tickets, so nothing complicated. I wonder if it would be possible to data merge pictures too, for example to create IDs. -
Hi, I'm going to make a software review in my company which has number of Adobe CC licenses, but most of them can be easily replaced with Affinity software. I will need prices for 5-10 users and they will include Designer and Photo (and Publisher when it's in a stable relase) to prepare a business case. Who should I contact regarding this? Thanks.

Default paragraph styles
Przemysław replied to Przemysław's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
I don't believe it's simple like that. Thank you. -
Hi All, I'd like to set up default paragraph styles, so when I create a new document my styles (Body, Heading 1 etc.) will be ready to use with my favourite typefaces and measurements. Am I missing something or it's no implemented yet? (Publisher 1.7.0.139)

I've made A4 portrait document with 2mm bleed. When I pull down a horizontal guideline from upper ruler it snaps (gets marked red) on 146mm and 148.5mm, but not in the centre of page (148mm where it should). It works OK when pull vertical guideline from left (105mm). I think it's a bug, because it works OK in APhoto and ADesigner. Publisher 1.7.0.139

Managing color space and output file size
Przemysław replied to Pix's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
Hi @Pix I can look into colour difference. If you can send me InDesign and Affinity Publisher files, I'm happy to look into it and print some tests. -
I'd like to see ISO B paper sizes as a part of new document presets. I don't think currently included A8, A9, A10 are necessary. I use B sizes for some posters, book-like brochures and passport-size documents.

As a printer, I prefer when customers don't impose documents. Just saying. -
Affinity Photo for iPad - 1.6.5
Przemysław replied to Patrick Connor's topic in News and Information
Is there any plan to introduce Affinity software for Android devices? Android devices are much more popular than Apple's. -
@Wojciech Krakowiak you should join typography.guru. I'm translating terms in a dictionary and need some help. :o)

I think, @Wosven means putting your name in all caps using a decorative font is not a good idea, which I agree with. Additionally, I wouldn't use colours in the logo (such as blue circle in first example) if you're going to use it as a watermark. It may be too distracting when looking at the actual photo. In my opinion, it should be always white or black (with some transparency applied). If you have a pen tablet (or you can borrow one) then the better idea would be to draw the signature by hand and not use a specific font. It would make it much more personal. If you don't have access to the pen tablet, you can scan your signature and trace it in Designer using a pen tool.

Artboard Document Sizes
Przemysław replied to MaryLou's topic in Feedback for Affinity Designer V1 on Desktop
I second @MaryLou's question. When I open a new document in Designer 1.6.5, the list of available templates cover a wide range of Apple devices and only one Android (now few years old Nexus 5). I'm aware that in the age of responsive design these templates are only for some mock-ups, but it feels wrong prioritising one company over others. I think the whole idea of templates should be re-thought and maybe, instead of listing specific devices, the list of dimensions should be made with ability to adjust them manually, i.e. "2160×1080 (Huawei 10 Mate Pro, Ratio 18:9)". It's impossible to make a list of all available dimensions (mentioned Huawei 10 Mate Pro can change resolution to save battery), but at least popular ones would be helpful. Maybe with each update the list of top 10 currently used devices could be made? Keep in mind that Android devices are more popular than Apple. I don't know if there is any research on it, but I expect that Apple devices are mostly used by individuals (freelancers). I work for local government, and all our software is Windows and Android based. Serif should do some research on targeting customers to make more money, and I think, Apple devices would be left behind. Adobe prioritises Apple users, but I hope, Serif will change their approach. -
Amazing! Thank you @StuartRc

I'm on W10 and using UK keyboard, but sometimes switch to Polish Programmers layout. Using dot key on NumPad types comma instead, which is correct for Polish layout. In Affinity I can type comma, but AP and AD don't respect it (won't do anything after pressing enter, just revert to previous value). My Affinity software is setup to English UK.
