Here are some fruit assets (vectors) to share: fruits.afassets
  5. Win 7 Publisher build 1.7.3.481 I've seen built-in assets before, but now I have lost them. When I go to import them via the assets panel I have no idea where they reside. I'm not talking about my custom assets, which I can access but pre-built assets that I have seen in Publisher, Designer and Photo. Any idea where they are? Thanks, S.
  6. After opening a 1.7.3 document in the last beta 1.8.0.502, I miss some Assets?

    Quick Symbols from PagePlus X9

I moved these quick symbols from PagePlus X9 into Publisher as they are quite useful for general documents. Here are the assets. Hopefully Serif won't mind me sharing them as they are so useful. Quick Symbols.pdf PagePlus X9 Quick Symbols.afassets

  10. Publisher v1.7.1.404 - Windows 10 1903. If I 'click and drag' an asset from the assets panel onto an open document, but before I place it I realise it is the wrong asset so press the [Esc] key, I can't drag out any more assets from the assets panel unless I close and re-open Publisher. I can 'still click and drag' from the assets panel and the little grey box beneath the cursor/pointer shows as I drag, but no asset is picked up (not visibly, anyway). This only happens if I click the [Esc] key while dragging out an asset, so I guess the 'fix' is not to press the [Esc] key when dragging assets! Kind regards Tony
  11. When I click on the Assets tab in Publisher, the app crashes. Is there a fix for this?
  12. Hey lovely designers. I've released a new video showing my process making the Joker! I hope you will like it! cheers! Jhon
  13. Hi, Just wondering if there is a way for me to share the AD assets that I've added to the app on my laptop so they also appear in the app on my desktop. I've added a load to the assets panel on my laptop, but when I opened the app on my desktop this morning, none of them were there. Guess it's because it's app based and not cloud based. Is that right? Is there a way of saving them and uploading from one to the other? Cheers, Cathie
  14. It began in version 1.72 but even after updating to 1.73 it still occurs. As soon as I try drag and drop any asset onto a page, then Publisher instantly crashes. 11057415BO.afpub
  15. My Assets panel is empty, and refuses to accept assets, in both Photo 1.7.2.471 and Publisher 1.7.2.471. It works okay in Designer 1.7.1.404. I exported Designer's, and imported them into Publisher. Publisher now lists the category, but doesn't give access to the assets.
  16. character design 100% Vector for those that want to give it a little try, there is a Free vector brush with texture that you can download, thanks for watching
  17. I'm doing some Digital speed painting in Photo and I developed a workaround for the lack of a custom shapes tool like the one in Photoshop. I Lay out my rough sketch and colors in Photo, then I go to File > Edit in Designer, where I have set up some categories in the Assets Panel for my custom shapes. I have to place a few of my textures and shapes into the canvas and then I have to go back to File > Edit in Photo. Once I'm back in Photo I can use the Mesh Warp Tool to warp the textures how I want them. My request is to have the Assets panel in Photo also so I don't have to jump back and forth. That way I can add and warp all in the same program. Sometimes once I start to warp the textures I notice that I forgot something and I have to jump back over to Designer just to grab a single texture, then back to Photo to warp. For speed painting, it's a pretty big step to add to the workflow. If the Assets Panel is added to Photo, I don't think that there will be a need for a Custom Shapes Tool.
  18. The assets pad objects thumbs showing is too small, I can hardly distiguish after a lot objects being added, if it can be zoom bigger will be better.
  19. Hi there, I have just purchased Affinity Designer - looking to hopefully move from Illustrator (while I love it, I don't want to pay for the rest of my life life lol). So far, I'm quite happy! I opened an artboard I designed for a client's website wireframe in Illustrator, and was able to work on the document, edit, and add new things... so far so good! One thing I will miss is Adobe Library... where I have imported all my client's logos, colours, design assets etc.. does Affinity offer a similar library type thing where I can "drag" assets into a library? Any tutorials on this (if available). Is this the Assets area? My next request... I'm looking for any assets related to web design that I can download... GUI assets, wireframe samples, icons, anything related to designing a website... I saw one post, but that offer expired... Does anyone have anything? I did find an icon pack but it's hard to search all the posts lol ... even if they are not free, I'm still interested! Anything to make my life easier. Thanks, and I'm glad to join this community! Elyssa
  20. Hello! I am using assets quite extensively across both Designer and Publisher. Is there a way to use one set of Assets that would be updated in any of the applications with as little actions as possible? Ideally like fonts are, i.e without any intervention - when I add anbject to assets in Publisher, it shows up in Designer as well. That sounds too perfect for me and most probably has it's serious disadvantages, but I wondered if there's some workaround. Maybe, as mentioned in this thread, I should use the Windows junctions functionality and have the assets updated after application is restarted? Regards, Grzegorz

Assets from [Screech] inktober #09 Sharing a selection of vector assets Asset List subCategory List 35 Feathers 8 Fill texture patterns 14 Texture Groups 19 Texture Overlays 11 Trees/partial 13 Leaves 11 shapes Asset Sample Sheets PDF sample Sheet x2 (not all assets displayed) Single asset file with 7 subcategories Samples as displayed (had to change colour of some assets in library as don't display well on grey backgrounds) Also embedded repeating patterns (x2) had to be inserted to assets as group rather than embedded file (which is how I usually use them.) Enjoy! Hope you find them useful Vector Assets 01 01.pdf Vector Assets 01 02.pdf vectorAssets-Screech.zip

  24. So I am trying to create images that I can use as assets, not as a layer asset but as a vector image asset. But I am unable to do this. If I in Designer export to say svg or eps I get them as embeded document, and then I cannot save it as an asset. I have tried searching for this and seen many videos, but it seems I am not sure what the correct search is for this problem. I have tried creating all objects so they all become "curves" but that does not seem to help. And I do not want to raster it as that does not make it vector. What is the correct way of saving this as an object/image that I can use as an asset later?
  25. A lot of users, myself included, often create custom brushes and assets to use with Affinity Apps. With the release of Affinity Publisher (especially with StudioLink) I find it quite tedious to install the newly created brushes and assets individually into every app since I do switch between them quite regularly and need all my tools available. It would be really nice that when you install/delete assets and brushes in any one of the Affinity apps that they are automatically loaded/available/updated in the other apps. Example scenario: As an illustrator, I often create new custom brushes for projects. If I created a custom raster brush in Photo, but then needed to switch to Designer for vector work, I'd need to open Photo, save the brush, open Designer and then load the new brush in the Pixel Persona. Then when I switch to Publisher for layout, I would need to switch to the Photo Persona via StudioLink and reload the brush there too if I wanted to do a few finishing touch-ups. If I then made a few small tweaks to the brush, perhaps some small improvements (such as tweaking the pressure curve for the size jitter), I would need to repeat the entire process all over again. The same goes for Assets, and more. It can quickly become very time consuming. It would be incredibly useful to have a universal folder where the brushes/assets are stored so that they automatically update across the board when you customise or add them. Obviously this wouldn't be applicable on iPad, but I think it would be incredibly innovative and useful on desktop, and a huge time saver in anyone's workflow. That way you'd only need to load, say, a raster brush once in Photo, and then automatically have it available in Designer's Pixel Persona and Publisher's Photo Persona. Same goes for vector brushes, assets, macros, swatches, styles, etc.
