ambiroa got a reaction from EarMaster in [AD] How to export to ICO format?
I like to use AD to design icons, which uses the .ico format. Is there a way to directly export my design to this format, or would I need an external program to convert a PNG into ICO? If it's the latter, any recommendations on tools?

Ahhh thanks.
But is this a bug? Because everything was sliced automatically before I updated to the latest version.

You might as well use the same images that are shown on your website, and link them here ;)

I particularly like The Dancer due to it being a character design, which I want to do as well in AD. Do you have plans to make a tutorial that includes both how to use the brushes and patterns, and a character/shape design, that will lead up to ... something like The Dancer? (* I really love The Dancer hehe, not sure if you can tell) :D

When can we expect a 'from blank to final image' tutorial? WHENNNN??? :D
I really like The Dancer. Wouldn't mind doing a step by step :D

ambiroa got a reaction from Roberttop in Alternative for ParticleShop?
Does anyone know an alternative for Corel's ParticleShop? http://www.painterartist.com/en/product/particleshop/
Preferably stand-alone, as plugins don't work with Affinity. (or do they?)
or...
Does Affinity Photo have these kind of brushes out of the box?

It's hidden alright! Haha... but once discovered, this works way easier than AI's noise layer effect. Thank you.

AD does have noise, but it's rather "well" hidden! Go to the Colour panel and click on the colour well next to the Opacity slider.

Yeah isometric illustration is booming. I had to look twice as well for that mushroom, but mainly because I don't know what a bonnet is aha :D

I like this, clean simple, yet shows character. I know a lot of people underestimate these types of design, compared to out-of-this-world illustrations, but it's quite hard to make something simple that doesn't look boring.

It would be nice if the mod team consider splitting up this subforum in three: AP Gallery, AD Gallery, and something called How it's made (totally inspired by the Discovery Channel :P ), with the first two solely a showcase, and the latter an in-depth subforum. There has been a call earlier to create AP and AD subforums, especially for the help/support, and I really hope the mod team consider this one as well.

@paolo HOLY BEEEPPP !!!
This is all AD? And only AD? You're pretty good at this B)
One question: Maybe make a normal speed video tutorial? :P Something like a small project, maybe a simple landscape, so the folks that join along have a landscape at the end?
PS: Paolo, you have a website?

ambiroa got a reaction from Pauls in Blood Alien - doodling with Frankentoon brushes
I made an outline of a 3D model the other day and thought "let's try some Frankentoon's scifi brushes on it", this is what came out.

AP, like PS, is primarily a photo manipulation software. But the latter seems to have become the primary tool for painters as well, for things like concept art. I'm really interested to see and know if AP has potential to step into this route as well, so if anyone is out there and on this forum using AP mainly for it's painting capabilities, I would love to read your experiences and see some art pieces.
