  1. Let's have a Man vs food battle duel, my cheese of weapon? Stilton!
  2. Hey abra, it's looking good. emulation is the best education. Hope the cowbells don't make the hangovers worse.
  3. Hi Ros, Nice job there, how did you do the red tint, was it done with curves or a transparent layer? I love vintage synths, the more knobs, sliders and patch leads the better (I'm looking at you ARP 2600), there's a truly nerdy site that deals with the hardware and emulators. https://www.arturia.com/products Even though I did Music Tech in the 90's, I don't recognise the box itself, but the sounds are very familiar. There's an app for that...http://www.dubsiren.com/index.html Meanwhile over on Youtube...
  4. Keep up the good work Sully. Some people are more offended by words than bombs...the pen(tool) is mightier than the sword (or bomb). Memphis Belle springs to mind when I see this pin-up. Her skin tones are really warm and inviting as well as that mischievous glint that she has in her eyes...a true bombshell. Explosive material: nice one Miguel! As for being to hot for a show case, I would tend to disagree, as there would not be not 100 French Franc note from the mid 1990s, featuring the work of Eugene Delacroix. Or even Spike Milligan's WWII sketch, which was used as in a calendar. Keep up the good work. peter
  5. This is spectacular! Lightweight? The car is, no doubt about that: but the work load certainly wasn't. Your poor Mac and Hackintosh must be thinking "Not sure I'll be doing another engine any time soon" have mercy on us! I am glad you stuck with it beach ball an' all. I reckon Vic would say, "It's a stunner, PM me now!" I've just plugged my HDMI cable into my 13" Mac and sent the image to my 42" telly and it still doesn't do it justice. I need a bigger screen! Maybe 86" or more.
  6. Paul, really nice work. I really like the Ziggy and circuit board sections. I can hear Starman, radio interference, some rain on the busy streets and a concert audience cheering. Yup! You've nailed it! That needs to be a future cover, of a really oversized coffee-table book, called "Berlin and back." The sort of thing that Taschen is famed for. I've also found this image below, which harks bark to his time in cold war Berlin. The sepia adds age, whereas the VW and his right eye show a real affinity towards his time in Germany: two eye colours, two countries and two contrasting experiences. peter Do you think he's saying (2016? Oh baby, just you shut your mouth!)?
  7. GTI=God That's Incredible! AD still hasn't reached 2.0 yet and already the details like your registration plate, rear light cluster and rear lock really make me look twice, thrice and I still can't decide if Affinity CAD really exists, as the boundaries are becoming blurred between the worlds of vector, bitmap, and CGI/CAD. The work in the form is getting better and better. Peter PS Never mind having a larger garage for all of these wonderful vehicle, this forum will soon need a multi-storey car park to house them all!
  8. Well done Tony! So much texture and detail. Those DAUB brushes are truly magical. Get in contact with Games Workshop as your work deserves to be the shop's posters and gracing their front windows. peter
  9. Fast researching skills...the 80's were an amazing era. I am indeed a cycling fan (My Pinterest ID shows me wearing the same Combine/technicolour jersey as BH). Both me and my cycling buddies were Fagor and PDM fans. So could I please put in a large wish list, that is if you're doing requests for Sean Yates and Holland's finest-climbing-tag-team-duo Stephen Rooks and Gert Jan Theunisse. These three riders, really inspired my to get pedalling, when I were a lad. The Badger (Bernard Hinault) is probably thinking "I hope he's got my best side. Grrrr!"; as for Sean (King) Kelly, "Oi'm too busy now, but Oi'l look at yer wuk lerter." Great no it's PDM...pretty damn magnificent. peter
  10. If I didn't know any better, I would say that this was still from an upcoming film, which has been processed to age it and then desaturated to resemble a historic photo. Great original, hard to imagine it was taken in 1916 and not 2016. You have an amazing talent. Genealogy sites need this magic. peter
  11. Well done Allan, there's no stopping you now! Great work there lad, your world domination starts here... Twitter-Check Club Hub-Check Amazon-Check Ebay-Next Netmums-Next Cbeebies-Next NETFLIX!!! Take a deep breath, smile and then bask in that warm glow; that some toddler, somewhere, way-past-bed-time will not go to sleep until that book is read by Gran or Grandad for the third time! Or that poor primary schoolteacher who is getting badgered with "Miss, Miss...when is the next book coming out and will you read it to us when it arrives?" So I'm not putting on the thumb screws at all. In fact it's a massive pat on the back. peter PS Move over Peppa Pig...the revolution has started and it is strawberry coloured!
  12. Thanks George, thanks jer. peter
  13. Hi TangoPapaMike, Welcome to the forums. It's also good practice to save your work as Affinity files, JPG and PDF. This way if you want to share your work with non-Affinity users, the last two formats will give you the most flexibility. PDFs have the advantage of being adjustable too. HTH peter
  14. Try again...This was taken with my camera, as exporting from AD is no longer working for me in this forum.
  15. This has happened before  After all that effort an'all!
  16. Hi all, I've finally got some more artwork to post, but the uploader won't let me use that extension (jpg) or Pinterest weblinks, but PDFs are fine: also my upload limit has not been exceeded yet. Any ideas? peter
  17. Or failing that...take a deep breath and use the font that is most similar. The convert that font to curves and painstaking tweek those nodes on those individual letters, until they look the same. HTH
  18. Meanwhile, back in the desert (and it has been a while, sorry folks!) a bored toddler was looking for something to do near Libya's biggest sand pit. Does anybody know why I can't upload any jpgs? STEWIE MOFFET LINE arab ART.pdf STEWIE MOFFET LINE arab ART.svg
  19. Welcome to the I-couldn't-beleive-I-could-do-that-club! You've created a great style there.
  20. Cool...well now it could be a font... http://www.myscriptfont.com
