    Hello,
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of the fourth build of Affinity Photo 1.10.0 for iOS.
If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.
This beta is an incremental update to the 1.9.2 version recently released to all customers (although it still installs parallel to the released version, as described above). We recommend that you use this beta in preference to the store version if you are affected by any of the issues listed below.

Thank you for all your hard work to improve this awesome software.  Slowing but surely.
Don’t want to be a nag but do want to highlight an improvement that i noticed with the latest update with regard to the adjustments to levels, curves, procedural textures, or anything that use an adjustment menu.  What I have noticed is that for examples Levels, by using the left-right arrows the operations work properly.  However, the pop-up menu do not.

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of the third build of Affinity Photo 1.10.0 for iOS.

    Florida,
Is the image you are trying to export to PNG very large? You mention 9000x9000.. I wonder if there is some integer overflow issue here.
Exporting is not done on the main thread, so beach balling implies either a.) It's not export related, which is unlikely as your stack is plainly exporting, or b.) We are somehow exporting on the main thread! Could you provide the full stack dump?
    Cheers,
    A

    Hello,
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of the second build of Affinity Photo 1.10.0 for macOS.
If this is your first time using a customer beta of an Affinity app, it’s worth noting that the beta will install as a separate app - alongside your store version. They will not interfere with each other at all and you can continue to use the store version for critical work without worry.
This beta is an incremental update to the 1.9.3 version recently released to all customers (although it still installs parallel to the released version, as described above). We recommend that you use this beta in preference to the store version if you are affected by any of the issues listed below.
The changes in the 1.9.4 betas have been rolled into 1.10.

Andy Somerfield got a reaction from Wanesty in WebP in Affinity Photo
    Morning,
We have decided to implement WebP export for (hopefully) 1.9.
The decision is not solely because it is now supported in Safari - although that doesn't hurt.
In the time I have been working here at Serif (15+ years), there have been hundreds of "JPEG / PNG killer" file formats announced - not a single one has succeeded. If we had supported each one, we would now have a massive amount of export code to maintain which was used by either 1 or 2 people, or more likely nobody. We don't like to remove features which we have added - so we would be stuck with the problem forever.
We generally don't implement new export formats unless a.) They are old but have some unique technical feature which is genuinely useful or b.) They are new and have either a good chance of achieving widespread adoption or have some unique technical feature which we think has merit.
WebP is being implemented because we think it has a high chance of widespread adoption.
    Hope this helps,
    Andy.
