one wanted to ask whether real vector brushes are planned for Affinity Designer 2.x. Still looking for a way to use real vector brushes for a project. I know the function of Illustrator, but I miss the function in Affinity Designer.

End of 2018 and the problem is still not solved. Not on MacOS not on iOS. Can't do any client work with this software with such kind of problem. What a shame.

YES please this would be amazing! My business is literally waiting for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Almost everything I make needs this! Just moved from Xara designer because of the amazing 3 sets of programs, designer, photo and publisher.... but no Tategaki. Rubi text would also be great.

Please Note: All of the issues mentioned below should be resolved by updating to macOS Monterey 12.1 or higher.
Due to code-signing changes in macOS Monterey, Affinity Apps can experience performance related issues such as spinning pinwheel (beach ball), lag or delayed operations. Below are a few examples that are affecting users:
Delayed app startup Panels such as Brushes, Macro, Styles etc... populating slowly and delays when scrolling Lag when using Channels Panel, especially with Pixel Selections Delay when selecting colours from the Fill Tool / Gradient Tool on the context toolbar Lag when browsing Presets in the Crop Tool This issue is logged with our developers and they're currently investigating.
As a workaround, some users have found that disabling Automatically Adjust Brightness under Apple > System Preferences > Displays reduces these delays.

expand stroke command produces horrible paths (shown on attached video). Please, can you fix this asap? The app is literally unusable for professional logo creation or detailed exports for factory production.

+1 for this feature. The node tool has a neat ‘snapping’ feature that you can use to close a path - we just need that same functionality when drawing to save extra work later.

Thank you, I love the new isometry panel. It's super easy to take any layer and make it isometric based on the plane I have selected. The one feature missing from the panel is to round trip a layer back from being isometric. Turning an isometric layer flat again. Could be very useful if, say, a client were to suddenly request a flat look even though we'd been working in isometric land all day. Happened to a friend.

In the Transform Studio, tap on a dimension such as Width, then type x0.5 or/2 for 50%, Type x2 for 200% using the small calculator popup.

I'm really hoping Affinity updates to allow true 100% vector brushes to be more editable and relevant in future releases. What are currently labeled "vector brushes" are not 100% vector and cannot be expanded as vectors. They have their uses and I appreciate them - but in my line of work, I need to be able to export 100% vector - no raster in the final output.
Right now we can only modify the 100% vector brush to a simple taper on each end - As I have attached to this post, there are many other types of tapers and such I'd love to be able to do with a 100% vector brush.
Going a little further - I'm hoping for a blob-tool that can allow for any shape to be made and used -

Would it be possible to add a "Remove from plane" button which resets the skew and rotation parameters to zero?
This would allow easier editing of components, before snapping them back onto the appropriate face.
Also the buttons in this panel are inconsistent with (almost) all other buttons in the application, in that they have no outline. This makes it hard to recognise that they are buttons, and makes the down / depressed / toggled state almost impossible to distinguish.

I hope with 'currently' you really mean 'at this very moment'. Because this is being asked so many times and for such a long time (meaning years) I started to think this mayor issue for a vector drawing program was never going to get fixed. Hopefully the issue @Jaakko is writing about; the unnecessary anchor points (on pretty weird locations on curves too), will be fixed with this as well. That would be really fantastic!!! Looking forward to this fix!!! 
BTW Nice to see so much fixes and updates are being done after the time Publisher was released. That's great!

This is a crucial feature also in print production.
Another annoying bug or feature in AD is that it makes hundreds of unnecessary anchor points when expanding stroke.
Hopefully we get update soon.

Yes, this is currently being worked on.

You have to create a spot color, name it CutPath or CutContour (not sure which one is) and apply it to the curve/path. To create a spot colour in Designer, go to the Swatches panel, right-click the menu icon on the top right of the panel, select Add Global Colour... and set the values you want to use then tick the Spot box on the bottom.

@Three The ideal method would be to save a copy elsewhere (on iPad or cloud) and delete from sandbox (project screen) using the 3 bar delete menu. The 3 bar delete menu is unfortunately the only way to delete the apps sandboxed file storage. Yes, one file at a time! Some people have also reported a bug where even after deleting, Affinity still shows the storage occupied. Like many reported bugs, we are still waiting for a solution. There is one other way of releasing the space. Delete the app. Drastic but effective. Save copies of any files you wish to keep. Any sandboxed Files will be deleted with the app.
Being new I will clarify storage on iPad. AP stores your work in sandbox (where only AP can access it. When you use top left arrow the sandbox file is updated. It also auto updates based on Settings in AP. You should always use the Menu to Save or Save a Copy as this creates a xxxx,afphoto file which you can save/backup  anywhere and access at any time. If you access this file using Open from Cloud (not restricted to cloud locations) then you get a Save menu in main menu while working. Using Save or top left arrow now updates the 'cloud' located file. If you import from cloud, it like starting a new file and edits will again only be sandboxed and may be lost.

There's only couple key features thats' missing:
 
- rotate canvas tool. This is must have feature if you are going to make affinity perfect for illustrators like me who uses Wacom cintiq and intuos. This feature works perfectly in Corel Painter (and pretty well in Sketchbook pro and PS) but there is no vector drawing software with this feature. I mean there's no way to draw naturally if you can't rotate canvas.
 
- appearance panel (like in Ai). I use this feature all the time.
