ahhh...    ive seen your words...  MEB.....   you said...   affinity Publisher....   i am sure you did...        Yeeeeesss......

for sure you are right...     my problem is , i do have to deal with such problems right now, because the decision to switch over to Affinity has been made before i was told to take a deeper look into the software and the workflows,
and now i have to deal with some hundrets of architects, who have to produce plans for competitions...    
aside of the architectural workflow, its a great software allready, and the architects to whome i teach the software so they can start to work, are impressed too.   but !  as they tell me...     this one and by far most important funktion, to easy import pdfs or eps without having to think about  antialiasing problems, and beeing able to fast  and perfect select differing parts (colors) ist nearly the one and only thing they have to do..       its by far more imprtant than stitching or impainting and so on..
so if the software is about 500 Euro cheaper per year, but your workflow gets slowed down by 5%, than you first get angry user... secound it costs you more than those 500 Euro for sure.. 
nevertheless..
 
i post such things just to make    affinity understand the importance of such workflow enhancements.   Its never only about one software its about the interconectness of workflows.. 
and if they listen, all will be fine..

We do have plans to offer a DAM solution later but it will not be available any time soon. Currently we are focused on fixing any remaining issues of the 1.6 release, Affinity Publisher and Affinity Designer for iPad. Please check our FAQ for more info.

We already added a similar function to lazy mouse in Affinity Designer/Photo 1.6 brush tools called Stabiliser.
Affinity Photo/Designer 1.6 should be available soon.

but my colleques asked for this when i gave them a lecture about affinity..
 
Well when selecting layers in the viewport, by pressing the alt key, and klicking , i can switch through several layer on top of each other...    in Photoshop theres also the right click menue, to give you a list of layer, to select from, would this bei possible in the future too ?

Hi Everyone,
my name is Tom Schülke,
I am from Hamburg in the north of Germany and i ´ve been long years the lead 3d Artist of a big german architectural Company that is develloping big Projects all over the the World mainly in China. I Was responsible for the 3D Renderings using 3ds max , Vray, Adobe Photoshop, premiere and aftereffects.
Now my next responsibilty is to introduce affinity Photo as a great alternative to our company to   switch from our adobe licences for their 500 employees to a better alternative.
While i feel that Affinity is allready a great Product i see some parts that could be improved in respect to workflowenhancements in our company and i think others could benefit from our ideas too..    So while i am still in the learning process (after watching all 200 tutorial videos ...) my next step is to develop workflows for my company to avoid those minor missing funktionalitys, Affinity Photo still has.
 
never the less.  I hope the voice of us useres will have an effect on your developement roadmap, so that Affinity Photo will convince the last Photoshop Neards in my company to switch over to your Software..

Hi Tom,
Yes, we are aware this is not very efficient. Masks still need some improvements until they reach Photoshop's level (we can't also copy/paste to masks etc). Hopefully all these things will be improved as we move forward.

Although it's still not what you're looking for, an alternative is: 1) Create a new layer mask (or add your adjustment layer), which you will add all your required selections to 2) Make sure the above layer in step 1 remains selected throughout
3) CTRL + click your first layer thumbnail to make a selection from that layer
4) Press SHIFT + F5 (Or Layer > Fill) and fill it with black
5) CTRL + click your second layer thumbnail to make a selection from that layer
6) Press SHIFT + F5 (Layer > Fill) and fill it with black
7) Repeat until done   At the end you can deselect all (CTRL + D), then invert the mask (CTRL + I) to reverse it if necessary.  

Hello everyone.
I am new to AP  and i am responsible to teach it in some weeks to our big architectural company, that in a while plans to switch totaly away from Adobe Products and has found in affinity Photo a real alternative to Photoshop.
The architects in my company do often have to produce immages , Plans and also to retouch renderings using heavily hundrets of other immages like trees, people, sky´s and so on. Also a part of us has to batch convert immages.
So what i am at the moment am missing very very much is a tool comparable to  adobe bridge to browse dozens of immages to find the best one to import to Affinity Photo.
is there an alternative ?  We work on Windows...        are there Browsers to fill the gap at the moment, that can read also affinity documents ?  and that are alble to load them one click to affinity Photo..
 
Dont get me wrong..  affinity Photo is allreay a great software, but when working professional with renderings, immages and so on, a Data management tool with graphical feedback of the footage is simply a
 
must have tool.
 
Its just not responsible to load dozens of diffenent immages one ofter the other to your app, just to see if one fits your need.   you have to have some sort of  DAM  Software..  
anything alternative anything on the developent horizon ?
