  1. Hey Brad, We found out about this recently so I've given the original bug report a kick with your post. It really is a pain to restore everything so hopefully this should be addressed. I can't seem to get the hang you mentioned though. Is the hang related to toggling the UI or is it just from quitting the app generally?
  2. Hello Yadu sam, We are having some trouble loading .cube files on the iPad version of the app. This is a known issue as the developers are aware of it. I'll add your feedback to the bug report. Thanks for posting.
  3. Indeed a bug. I will update the report. Thanks NotMyFault. NotMyFault has has the Live Filter button enabled and Frequency Separation isn't available as a Live Filter. It gets added as a Pixel layer when you apply it.
  4. Hey Ssolomon916, welcome to the Affinity Forums. What model camera are you using? Can you upload a sample here. It might be that we don't support your camera yet but we are constantly expanding this list. Please let me know on here when you've uploaded it as Dropbox does not notify me.
  5. I think we should highlight 'Yes' by default so I'll get dev to look into it. Thanks for raising this Rheus.
  6. Hey Kurt Koeberler, How long have you been trying to update it? Have you rebooted the machine recently and checked there are no pending Windows updates? Can you try manually downloading the .exe from here: https://store.serif.com/en-gb/update/windows/photo/1/ What version of Windows are you using? We've had trouble with users installing our apps if they are using Windows Insider builds.
  7. Hi Richard Liu, There is a known issue where Live Filter layers will not print or export to PDF. We're working on a fix but for now, you will have to rasterise the layer that the Live Filter is nested with or merge down. Sorry for the trouble.
  8. Hi scrutinizer, I still cannot reproduce this. Your settings seem fine—even with the 35 minute file recovery interval. Any reason that is so high btw? It should really be set to the default of 300 seconds (or less).
  9. Does pressing them in this state not load them either? Are you also using iPadOS?
  10. That's odd. I can't see why any recent ones wouldn't be there. The only reason you might not get one is if you are getting a hang and not a crash. The difference being you manually quitting the app after it hangs vs. the app crashing itself back to the iPad's home screen. I've got a few crash reports for this particular crash so we may not need yours, however it would be interesting to know why you don't have any recent ones...
  11. The 414 beta should have addressed a lot of plugin issues: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/91357-affinity-photo-windows-customer-beta-172414/ Lots of users are reporting the NIK collections have started working since trying the beta so it's worth a shot installing it.
  12. Hey ChrisWitDaFlickz, welcome to the Affinity Forums. Whilst I absolutely appreciate you wanting us to hurry up with the update, we must also be very careful that no regressions make it into the update and also that we have actually fixed what was seemingly broken in 1.7. Would you like to try the beta so you can report back what is still affecting you? We use Testflight for our iPad beta (due to sandboxing) so you would need to agree to using that. Let me know and we can get you signed up.
  13. Hmm, we've been seeing it with Medium and Large—I'll do some poking.
  14. Hey Nekodificador, The video was spot on and I know exactly what you mean! All you need to do to transform a selection is to enter Quick Mask mode (press Q), change to the Move Tool and scale/rotate/skew the selection dragging the bounding box control handles. So it's not quite as simple or quick as holding Space to move it but you can achieve the same results. Perhaps this is something we could look at improving (though I am sure we do have improvement requests for this already).
  15. Did you check the Activity Monitor? I haven't been able to reproduce the Split View hang and believe me I've been trying! I get a delay of about 10 seconds or so whilst it says 'Analysing Scene'.
  16. Hey jk1, It's the other way around for me. I'm using the beta and my 16 bit images will be exported slightly larger than 8 bit ones. Is this still happening for you?
  17. We have recently started working with Wacom to improve drawing in Affinity. We realise there are improvements to be made and these types of discussions on the forum can be very helpful.
  18. Hey Przemysław, We actually fixed this in the 414 beta. If you wanted to try it out: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/91357-affinity-photo-windows-customer-beta-172414/
  19. Hey Nekodificador, You need to ⌘ + Drag which is contrary to what the status bar says. I think there's a reason we write it this way but I can't remember! I'll find out! Simple test: 1. Drop two rectangles to make 2 separate layers 2. Drag out a selection 3. ⌘ + Drag over the selection 4. You will notice that the layer highlighted in the Layers Panel will move
  20. I think you might have a point. I'll let dev have a look.
  21. Weird. I'd really like to figure this one out I'm glad it is sorted for you though. Let me know if you run into it again
  22. Do you know what the image interpolation is set to in Photoshop? (Preferences > General) I cannot reproduce this issue though. The only thing I've noticed is that the zoom levels (both set to 200%) are massively different. Both documents are 1600 x 1200 px @ 72DPI
  23. Hey JesusSheep, There were a lot of reports regarding plugin crashes when we updated to 1.7. We don't officially support that plugin and could never guarantee it should work properly. However, I would encourage you to install the beta to see if this helps. We are currently recommending that you use it over your purchased version as it is stable enough.
