I know about that... but when I have like 10 slices or more, I have to click each one to export it one by one, then click Save each time, which is time consuming and ridiculous considering the potential of a productivity software like AD. I don't think I'm asking much... the functionality is already there. Just need a button at the bottom that says: Export selected slices. That's it.

This is about transforming something (free transform) not drawing.
Imagine you drag a photo of a building into Designer and you need to fix the perspective. Right now you can't do it. You either have to use another image editing tool which is not very productive especially since Designer doesn't support linked files. I would really like to use Designer as a all in one graphic design tool but I still can't do that.

Hey guys, here's my latest Affinity Designer masterpiece! Took me a few month to get all the icons done, but in the end, the result was worth it. What's this all about, you may ask?
It is a minimalist icon pack designed in a retro style that works perfectly on your Windows taskbar or Dock. As you can see from the preview, the main idea is to use generic icons for various app categories without using specific app logos or icons (with some exceptions like the Browsers, Adobe Suite, Affinity Apps and Microsoft Office). Instead, the icons illustrate the actual purpose of the app using familiar design elements. For example, if you're a content creator, you will find different creative icons for your video or music editing apps. The same goes for gaming, where you have a bunch of icons for your gaming platforms to choose from.
The icon pack currently includes the following app categories: Internet Browsers, File Managers, Audio Players, Video Players, DJ-ing Apps, Email Apps, Adobe Suite, Affinity Suite, Microsoft Office, Painting Apps, Vector Apps, 3D Apps, Video Editors, Music Production Apps, Code Editors, IM Apps, Gaming Platforms, Torrent Apps, Image Viewers, Calendar Apps, FTP Clients, Archiving Apps, Notes-ToDo Apps, Book Readers, Trading Apps, and Windows System Apps (Task Manager, Terminal, Calculator, Notepad, Settings).
You can download a demo of the icon pack on deviantArt or get the full version on gumroad.

Cristian Dragos got a reaction from JLX in Designer - Free transform tool (perspective distort)
I was really hoping you guys wouldn't go the same path as adobe and finally give designers one tool to replace both Photoshop and Illustrator. I was really hoping AD would have been this tool. I'm not sure why you're focusing on releasing a publishing software in 2018 when the offline publishing industry goes down every year. It would have made more sense to me to focus on Designer and bring it to a similar level as Sketch because Adobe XD is still way behind and Windows users (like me) don't have a reliable alternative for doing UI design (which everyone does lately). I've tried to do it in AD but having over 20 artboards for a mobile UI design made AD sluggish and at some point almost impossible to work with.
Oh well you have your own strategy and hopefully in time will pay off.
Thank you for doing your best and giving us hope but right now I still can't give up the damn adobe beast and I'm using AD just for personal projects.
    Best,
    Cristian

Hi there... I don't have Affinity Photo since I don't need it. Is this tool too much to ask from Designer? After we already have a Pixel persona and the free transform tool would fit right in.

Could someone explain why this is still missing from the shortcuts options? Is it complicated to bind the Delete key on the keyboard to the delete an object function?
Any explanation would be great, otherwise this is just absurd! The iPad OS becomes more and more powerful with each update and I like using my iPad at home with a keyboard and I can’t understand why some app developers are so stubborn to ignore this fact and why they keep pushing towards only to the touch controls.

Seeing as though this simple request has been going for almost 3 years and no explanation has been offered, I would never recommend affinity software on I Pad. Impossible to substitute the PC as it is. Quite a shame for otherwise a great app....

    Hey guys,
One thing that keeps bugging me when I open a project that I'm working on is that the first thing I have to do is switch to the respective Document Palette from the Default Palette.
Wouldn't it make more sense for a document to remember this and just select the last Document Palette you used (in case you have more than one) when opening a .afdesign file?
Or at least give us an option in the Palette menu to set that Document Palette as default for that specific document. This would be nice as well.
    What do you think?
    Thanks in advance,
    Cristian

I am quite surprised Affinity suite still does not provide a function for simple arranging windows with opened documents.
I don't use it very often but it's quite annoying to set up two or more windows by hand when other apps could do this for you with a single click.
The current "Float All" could be renamed to "Float All - Cascade" and a few more options should be added (Float All - Tile Horizontally, Float All - Tile Vertically, maybe Float All - Tile as Table, etc.)

+1000! I just bought AD for Windows and the saving/exporting path is pretty silly. It should definitely work like p10n suggested above. Not sure why they didn't made it this way from the get go since it's the most logical way of working.

Yes, yes and yes... Adobe has raised the bar with the Illustrator for the iPad. I'm really curios to see how Serif will respond. The iPad version of Designer has been pretty stale in the last year or so.

I must admit adobe kinda knocked it out the park with the mobile version of illustrator. I love the way all the most common functions appear beneath the selected items. It makes it so much easier than rooting around in various panels and sub panels, and yes of course auto closing lines, why would you not
I think this was Adobe saying ‘we see what you are doing Serif’ and we raise you  I look forward to seeing how the guys at serif respond. A little healthy competition is good for everyone.
