  1. I can't help but copy and paste my comment from another forum thread... People have been asking for this important feature since 2016. I was so excited about Affinity. I thought they would be for Adobe what Adobe was for QuarkXPress. Now it feels like they are just like QuarkXPress used to be.

  3. Would it be possible to include the ‘Delete’ function in the keyboard shortcut preference list? Pressing the backspace key to delete something is deep in the muscle memory of every mac os user. It is a basic feature that does work without fail in competitor vector graphic programs - I did not have the opportunity to try all of them, but I would not be surprised if it worked in every single one on the market - so it surely must not be a huge coding challenge.
  4. The lack of this feature is indeed quite disappointing. Also very puzzling why it has not been addressed for so long.

  6. Hi @Dan C Thank you for picking this up. I am on a 2021 iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard running iPadOS 15.0.2, however, I managed to work out what caused my trackpad problem. (I am pretty new to the iPad. 😇) This only happened right after I enabled 'Touch for gestures only' in the Tools preferences panel, which actually disables access to many functions and features with the mouse/trackpad. They work fine when the option is turned off, but then it is very hard to use the pencil (2nd gen), as there is a pretty bad palm pickup present. I am not sure if it is even possible at all to differentiate between the two input methodologies - touch vs. mouse/trackpad - as I found that this works the same way in another vector graphic application on the iPad. This might just be a hardware limitation. I guess I will just have to plan forward when I want to use the pencil and when I want to use a mouse and set my preferences in advance accordingly. Maybe turning touch (and trackpad/mouse) gestures only on and off could be made more accessible with a switch or button somewhere in the document window UI?
  7. Hi, On Designer for iPad, the cmd+D shortcut does not work with vector items, however it works just fine on the desktop version. I tried to change The keyboard shortcut to something else, but the function just doesn’t seem to work. Also a trackpad tap outside the selection does not work either. Is it possible to make these basic functions work on the iPad version? I know an iPad is an iPad for a reason, but I do not necessarily want to touch the screen just to deselect something. The function works just fine in the pixel persona btw.
  8. Thank you for the reply. I think the vast majority of the users would agree that even if there is no global setting, the default should be off, that then could be turned on from the quick menu. The correcture marks are a nuisance during common design tasks and having to turn them off every time is not very user friendly.
  9. I second this for both Mac and PC. Right now, if the cursor is active in a textbox, you cannot use the zoom tool quick shortcut, as you start typing spaces... Please make this program better than the alternatives. With every update I hope this gets fixed, yet still nothing.
