Adding this image to show the expected result (Photoshop) and the actual result (Photo) when shift+L clicking on the canvas.

This seems to be because of the Corner Tool here on Mac as well. A bit of testing shows that if I have Square nodes the problem happens but does not occur if I have Round nodes. A simple conversion fixes this.
I guess it is down to there not being any Node Handles on the curve.

I was using 3.1.1 there is 3.2.0.
Will update if I encounter the bug again.

@Filmator Thanks for sharing your workaround. The issue has been logged already and the development team are aware of it. 

Thank you @Komatös and @SPaceBar. I spent some time uninstalling and updating drivers, I used DDU as recommended. The file still crashes Designer.
I tried to open the file with iPad. This worked, so I saved the file as a new one. Then I successfully opened the "new" file on the desktop computer. Which is fine 🙂 but does not solve the problem for those who do not have an iPad... 😄

Please make a fresh install from the gpu drivers. Use DDU (https://www.wagnardsoft.com/DDU/download/DDU v18.0.4.4.exe) to uninstall to ensure that all old driver files are deleted.

I am able to open the document under Windows 10. With the informaltion from @SPaceBar  I tried to remove the colour tag (right click on the layer and select the colour tag deselect symbol). Designer crashes here. And curiously, no crash report is generated.

Merci pour la recherche de la panne, c'est un problème très handicapant de ne pas pouvoir avoir accès à son travail.

Thank you for finding the fault, it is a very disabling problem not to be able to have access to your work.

Thank you so much. I reinstalled the Huion software but the issue still occurs. Since you got the same problem in Firefox it's clear a problem with Huion. I'll try to resolve it with their support. Soon as I get an answer from them I'll share it here.

The file is stored on the mbpro hdd (yes, 14 years old mac!)

Preferably something that can be improved moving in any direction! 😉
 

Right after I posted this I opened Publisher and the update installed right away. So all is good.

Hi @SPaceBar, I can give you a conclusive update on that.
Maybe you should close that topic or change the title (not sure that I would be able to do that?), because not overlaying elements influence the text appearance, but underlaying gradients ! If you take a look to the older pictures of 2019, its always a gradient in the background. Same in this file.
Some further tests with three different printers (2 newer non-ps HP Laser Printers along with the Xerox) showed, that …
Printing results were quite the same on all those machines  Printing only page 2 with that text issues shows no problem or bolder text (in the area of the underlaying gradient) on any printer (IMG_0910-11) But printing the layoutpage 2-3 shows clearly the same problems on every printer (regardless of ps or non-ps) (IMG_0912) Printing the same layoutpage 2-3 without the underlaying gradient print correct on every printer. (IMG_0913) So my suggestion would be to investigate the behaviour of layoutpage-printing with underlaying gradients.

Here are the dimensions I get when I print this file: (Height x Width)
From Windows version to Canon G6020:   4  x 3 1/2 inches
From iPad version to Canon G6020:     3 1/2  x 3 9/32 inches
From iPad version to Canon Pro 100:    4 1/8  x 3 5/8 inches
I don't have time to work on this but it shows that there is something wrong somewhere.

Yes. Tap print in Designer’s Document menu. When the view screen opens, zoom in on first page to open full screen viewer (two finger spread). Now you can access the Share sheet in top right corner. Scroll down and select your printers dedicated iOS app. Tap that and you should now have access to more of your printers settings.

I just tried this, using Designer on Windows and on my iPad.
I created a .afdesign letter-size document with a 3 x 4 inch rectangle centered on it, and printed. From Windows I got exactly what I expected. From the iPad the preview looked good but when printed I got a scaled version, with a 1 5/16 x 1 3/4 inch rectangle in the upper left quadrant of the sheet of paper.
Printer is an Epson ET-2550 with a wireless connection.

Yes, no problem at all.  Other than for the resulting print being scaled down if I print from within Designer (iPad) but if I export as a PDF and print that from the Files app the result is not scaled.
 

If having issues, keep in mind that iPad and printer must be on same network to AirPrint. Modems offering auto switching 5ghz and 2.4ghz connections may result in ipad and printer on 5GHz and 2.4 ghz respectively (effectively different networks). I have had this happen 🙁

What printer are you using? I found my Epson Photo printer had this issue but the replacement Epson printer that I purchased (an ET3700) had no such issue. It’s possibly related to the iOS print driver. An option is to use a printer app for your specific printer. The Epson iPrint app offers me more options than the iOS built in driver (but scaling is not offered).
