We are working on this during the 1.5 beta, but is not yet fully functional as MEB suggests. -

Transform Palette: Shear Field
Patrick Connor replied to JET_Affinity's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on Windows threads
> espect the selected side handlesof the 9-point proxy symbol in the Transform palette It already does respect that selection, for the fixed point while X shearing, so it would still need another modifier key or a button on the transform dialog to keep the current functionality and ass the new. -
gabriel2112, That's a great start in affinity, thanks for sharing. If you had any problems while making your designs then please don't forget to post your findings to the Windows beta forum. Issues found in real projects are very welcome. Bugs in the beta forums are likely to be commented on by the developers and/or the QA team. Transform Palette: Shear Field
Patrick Connor replied to JET_Affinity's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on Windows threads
If they are "linked" it would not matter. However if we draw a different symbol to "linked" next to the S then I would understand that when that is pressed S affected R but R can still be used independently, which is the most useful option in my opinion. so for visual clarity I would not use the same linked symbol as we have with W and H so they would not be linked, but S would be related to R -
GuidoCAffinitY, Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums. We are trying to keep the Windows Beta section more specific to bugs in the Windows version. I Realise you were not to know that, sorry there is no FAQ to say so yet. We have moved this question for you, but in future feel free to ask general questions like this in the questions section. Also if there is a feature you can see is missing, you can put a feature request in the New Features section

Right Mouse is a modifier like ALT and SHIFT and CTRL, it modifies the left mouse down drag behaviour, so left mouse + simultaneous right mouse gives the same 4th modifier as mouse+Ctrl does on a mac. So for me press right mouse and keep it pressed, then press Alt and keep it pressed, then press Left mouse too. Now dragging left or right will change brush size. I am not sure about modified left click if that is a thing. I guess there may be a few (please tell us about them) that we need to look further into.

Transform Palette: Shear Field
Patrick Connor replied to JET_Affinity's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on Windows threads
The "fix" for this would be to put a little linked symbol between the R and S fields (like the W and H) when they are linked then then S changes would be reverse mirrored in the R (as much added to one as removed from the other) and the Y shear would be achieved in a single swoop, just like using the tool, but accurately. When this "linked" symbol was 'set' and S was changed then I say R would change too. Furthermore I think that that changing R would also change S (like when W and H are linked) but I am less convinced about that behaviour. Effectively you just need a symbol next to S to say if it affects R too or not. -

Jacob, Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums. I am told that this can happen when you try to buy a product when the Apple Store is adding or removing a promotion, as just occurred for Affinity Photo to celebrate it's first birthday. It's as if you added a product to the basket that now is not available (at that price). The support team say that if you log out of the store and then back in with your Apple ID that you will be able to buy Photo. Make sure you know your ID before you log out. Please let me know if this works.

Hi Shalom3, This is not available yet. It's already, in the usability section, of Affinity Designer's roadmap, to be implemented later.

Where is the update?
Patrick Connor replied to Timothy.Parsons-UCSF's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on Windows threads
The beta notifications of a new version do not link directly to the new version. So that beta testers understand what has changed and any known issues, each beta is released via a link in a forum post, like the one you were taken to, which TomR has reposted. (Hi Tom, really good to see you here)
