I recently read about someone paying to get some simple jigsaw artwork and thought it was a shame they had to do that, so I decided to create some shapes that could be usable for free.
Attached is a sheet of jigsaw shapes that are customisable (compound layers, just adjust as necessary) and should fit to any regular grid (after proportionally resizing the shapes).
Apologies for the terrible names of the layers but I think it’s fairly easy to figure out which one is which.
I’ve also attached some images showing:
    1. The basic shape sheet.
    2. A simple use of coloured shapes.
    3. A more ‘artistic’ use with 3D and embossing.
The shapes are usable in all Affinity applications: Designer, Photo and Publisher.
You can use these shapes for anything you want, entirely for free, without restriction or attribution.

We actually had some good come out of the misunderstanding. Made us go buy the whole suite that we've been wanting to do for a while already, because you know we were on that site already anyway so why not make it happen once?  & really $50 per app is not bad at all for such great products!

I think this is a terminology thing that has got past my eyes when we reviewed the email prior to sending, sorry.
In the QA team we check many things. The software, the documentation, email communications, the website functionality and what we call "the content". This term (within Serif's walls) means the downloadable stuff that is sold (or given away) that compliments the software but that is not included in the application download. Typically this is brushes, styles, effects etc. As a generic term this is called "Content" to distinguish it from software. We have been talking about a "flash content sale" without recognising that this was an insider term. Seeing these posts I can understand we did not make that clear enough SORRY.
The 50% sale is on the creative content packs sold in the Affinity Store, so everything that's not software or physical items.
Sorry again that this was not picked up before sending the email.

Contents would be the contents of the store, but content without the ‘s’ is shorthand for ‘content packs’. As previously noted, this is spelled out in the body of the email; also as previously noted, the button takes you to the ‘content’ page, not the ‘apps’ page.
There’s been a misunderstanding and some consequent disappointment, that’s all. Let’s move on!

Does your print shop have any requirements for the PDF you're providing, especially colour profiles?
After exporting your PDF, if you have Adobe Acrobat you can use its Print Production feature to double check to see if the colours match those from Designer.
I've attached a screenshot of a coloured shape in Designer.  I then exported it to PDF and opened in Acrobat and used the Print Production option to compare the colours. Note the CMYK colour settings in both Designer and Acrobat are the same.

We can’t believe it’s been five years since we launched Affinity Designer, the first in our creative suite of apps. It’s been an incredible journey and we’re amazed that Affinity has now been adopted by over two million users worldwide.
Along the way we’ve launched the first professional creative applications for iPad, picked up loads of awards including an Apple Design Award and multiple App of the Year awards, and finally realised our initial vision for Affinity - to provide one seamless workflow between creative applications - with the announcement of StudioLink in Affinity Publisher just a few months ago.
All of our success is down to the support and feedback you’ve given us, so as a thank you, we’ve slashed the prices of our content packs in half.
This 50% off sale is only on for a limited time, so make sure you head over to our store now so you don’t miss out. Sale ends Friday 4th Oct!

While you're here we have also just released updates to all our applications, details are found in links from this post

One thing I think I found out is the Properties selection does not show up on a Group of Groups...Which could make sense.

Are you definitely sure you're doing it on a (Layer) type object? See attached.

  15. Thanks
Chul reacted to Sean P in Note of thanks
The reason for the limited colour choice is so that when you export your documents to PSD, the colour tagging remains the same when opening in Photoshop.
Your other suggestion is also possible if you right click an actual 'Layer' object in the Layers Panel and select the 'Properties' option you can choose a colour in there that is used for on the handles/bounding boxes on objects.

Btw, thought I'd let you know that I really appreciate the ability to give each layer a different color. I use it a lot to keep everything separate when I have the layers expanded & trying to decide which artboard is where...
Keep up the great work n have wonderful day all!

Thanks for your reply, Dan C! It would save me piles of time, but I'll keep on doing it this way while I dream of future possibilities....
Thanks also for all the time and efforts that are spent on the Affinity software. I'm an Affinity fan since I started with it, and running the latest versions of all 3.   Keep up the great work!!

    Hi Chul
Unfortunately it's not possible to set a keyboard shortcut for the context option, however I can certainly see how it could help a workflow! I'll move this thread to the Feedback section of the forums for our devs to see and consider

Yes, you have to make an assumption when starting a project without knowing the printer or paper it's printed on. So you start with any. That might fit later or not, you must not know yet, – but you must not forget to check & set that before print, as mac_heibu pointed out.
The problem is that a printer (the person) + a printing machine + a paper each of them have their own some way individually presets and behaviour sotosay. In this way any general profile is just an assumption or estimation when you consider that their descriptions are not very clear because paper does influence the print process with more or with more specific properties than those words for instance ...
... gloss, matte, satin or any other treatment ... the highest quality white paper ... bright glossy paper ... similar to most magazines ... paper that might be slightly dull and yellow To compare this list with that one of a paper factory can be confusing:
    http://www.mccaughanpaper.com/gpage2.html
In THAT way it is important to understand profiles (with your helpful list) AND to get the profile info from the printer. A first, estimated, default profile is standard but it is not the final decision and solution before the export of the print file. Some print services even deliver their specific profile as .icc file to get the best from your design.

Besides FOGRA in Europe also the profiles from the German initiated ECI are quite common:
