Hi, Im struggling to add points to paths I have made, In Illustrator you have the + & - tools to accomplish this. Is there a simple way in Affinity I'm sure there is a very simple solution to this,

How to move two hadles of the same node together? On the equal distance, like in Illustrator by default.

Hello, I have a graphic with about 30,000 anchor points. But maybe only 100 would be necessary. How can you simplify the graphic? I mean in some programs there is an extra tool "simplify" or something like that ... Unfortunately I don't find anything at Affinity Designer. If there is one, where could I find it? Thanks a lot Mischugo

Is it just me and my faulty settings or is Designer for iPad rather inaccurate? The document I am working on is setup for print, it’s 500 x 700 mm at 300 dpi. The section in the screenshot is at 200% and covers an area of about 35 x 35 mm. Here’s the problem: within each circle the gap between two points is getting bigger, however according to the dialogue the coordinates of these points are exactly the same. It may seem like a minor detail but that flaw will be visible in the printed version. More so since the margin between both points will increase with each iteration. Of course I like to assume that this isn’t my mistake (which on the other hand it quite possibly may be) and hence my blunt question: are there any plans to fix this in the foreseeable future or will I have to rely on other products if I need precise vector graphics?

I am on the hunt for the best vector freehand-sketching tool with a high degree of input precision. I really want Affinity to be that for me, except I can't seem to find how to adjust the number of control points rendered for each stroke. What currently happens is that, despite stabilizer turned off, my lines are being too "simplified." For example, I do a lot of zigzag hatching in my work, which have very tight direction changes. After I release and the stroke is created, those acute angles kind of "bubble out" because AD is simplifying/smoothing my stroke into fewer points than I would like. Is there a way to change this, somehow? Thanks.

I apologize in advance if this was addressed before. I couldn't find anyone asking the same thing. I need to select multiple points on a vector object, but I can only do so by doing multiple selections. On PC I'd hold Shift, but on iPad I'm clueless. I could use my case keyboard for that, but I want to know how can one do it without the need of a physical Shift button. Thanks in advance!

Ok I searched the forums for “svg’ and points”. I’m not really sure what else to search, so I apologize if this was already covered. This is for the iPad :) I drew a black and white image in Procreate, and saved it with no background as a png. Used vectorizer online, to convert it to an svg. i placed the svg into affinity designer im not sure how to edit the points. Or am I totally missing the boat and trying to do the impossible? Boy, this seems like this topic has probably been covered before...I really did look, haha. Thanks everyone!

Hi guys, I cannot find a way to rotate / scale if I have several curve points selected (see screenshot), which makes the way to work with a bunch of points exhausting. I'm sure I just have overlooked it didn't found it in the forum as well. Thanks for your help, Stefan

Hi folks, Listen, I've no clue if I'm completely tired, missing something or whatever else related to me that could explain such an issue, but I cannot understand how to simply join two points! If you look at the following image, I would like the join A with B and C with D. I've tried many ways, look on the help, look on the forum, and still not luck. The left "shape" you see on the capture (the bracket thingy [ ]) is one unique so called "(Curves)" in my layer panel. The right shape is what I'd like to achieve (tricked for this example). Any bright light would be much appreciated! I've attached the file is you want to "play" around. Join.afdesign

Affinity Designer - Add points at intersection of the curves - this method will help in many situations Affinity Designer for Windows - Add duplicated methods: Alt + Rotation Handle ( rotate and duplicate in the same time ) Alt + Scale Handle (Scale and duplicate in the same time ) This method will help to duplicate and mirror in the same time

The ability to add N number of new points, evenly spaced, between the selected points. I know this can be done manually by clicking the line. That functionality is great and works very well but doesn't help, if you want precise placement of multiple points. Ideally I'd be able to: 1) make a circle 2) convert to curves (now I have a curve with 4 nodes) 3) select those 4 nodes and add "N" nodes between selected nodes 4) (so if I chose to add 1 node between selected nodes) I now have the same circle shape but with 8 evenly placed nodes

It would be super awesome if more was made of distorting shapes. At the moment if you hoover the mouse over the protruding centre line at the top of any shape and wait, you get a little icon which is two arrows pointing in either direction, you can click and drag this to skew the shape a little bit. But they you need to keep rotating the item then turning it a bit if you want to adjust it and it can be a bit of a pain. It would be great if there was a distortion menu which allowed you to just selected pre-made angles for which your shape could distort too, so for example isometric left, isometric right, 45 degrees etc.. and if then you can add advance alteration like changing the percentage of the skew and the manually pick the direction that would be perfect! Really awesome work on the software so far I use it everyday now!

Hi all. I´m feeling slightly dumb but I cannot figure out how to add points to an existing shape. I have simple rectangle and wish to add points along the rectangle edge. I have tried all the usual suspects (holding alt, ctrl, cmd etc) but all I get to do is start a new shape. Any tips? Cheers, Colin
