  1. Is it possible to import/export Swatch Palletes for the iPad Version of Affinity Designer (or Photo, for that matter)? I have purchased several commercial products that include colors that I cannot install on iPad version. Yes, the makers of these products need to maybe take the iOS crowd into consideration. But my question is: it that even possible for them to do?
  2. Hi! So yeah, you saw the title... The issue is that I was being stupid and didn't read this part in this post: "Hey don't use Affinity Designer Customer Beta in your work, because you can't backward them to the regular Affinity Designer." or something like that. And since I didn't see that I was again stupid and began making a large project for my graphics design business. Now I can't export it to a PSD file and that's the only way I can send it over to my customer. (My project would take a long time to recreate, so please gimme any ideas) Is there ANY way to get back my files from Affinity Designer Customer Beta? I have tried so many things, but keeps on popping up with errors, and searching on Google ain't working either. PLEASE HELP!
  3. I'd love to share these original Affinity Designer files to get these images in the Samples that load up every time I boot up Affinity Designer. I really think that my artwork could help people see the commercial value that Affinity Designer has.
  4. According to the Affinity Store, "when you launch your product, you’ll be prompted to download the latest update if available. On clicking Download you will be directed to a web page that will offer you the latest Windows release for your Affinity product." I've had Affinity Designer since December 2017 and have not been prompted to download any updates. The version I currently have is 1.65.123. Can somebody tell me is there been updates since then? (I'm getting numerous crashes so I'm thinking that it has to do with not having the latest version.) If so, is there a link to get the updates? TIA
  5. Another bike, this one owned by my son. Continually learning more about Designer and happy about my progress. Almost cracked the chrome effect in this illustration but still a way to go. Will keep on practicing. I had problems converting this to JPG as the red colouring kept coming out a more maroon colour. Finally found a workaround by changing Designer file from RGB to Adobe RGB before converting to JPG. Hope you like the Ducati.
  6. I'm sharing here my recent artwork done using affinity designer, hope you guys like it 100% vector my insta: jhonatan.ssilva youtube: jhonatan s silva

  9. Hi, all, A sample from something i've been working on for the last month. A drawing made from a rather poor cell phone camera shot. Knowing the guy, I liked the expression from the photo as he sat outside on a cool day in the sunlight. The colors are based on those that might have been used up to 500 years ago. Ochre, green earth, indigo, azurite mixed w. chalk. Sort of an illustration for a short story.
  10. Ok so I don't have the individual elements that took me hours to create this one graphic but i enjoy doing it. griffen new7480.mov it started as just a photo of my friend Griffen shinning a flash light towards me that gave me the halo to create the bubble force field, and dusted up the rocks on AFP and rendered the background to look more like the forest. funny part is we took this right next to Adobe HQ and the whole time I was thinking, how happy I am not paying a subscription lol. elements added was partical fog that, I pulled the plasma into AFD to create some brighter hues with the pink and turquoise. the wave you see on the bubble I re-colored on AFD to blend with white balance of the image and then just placed it back into My motion folder. hope that makes sense I'm not technically detailed when it comes to trying to explain these things.
  11. Hey guys! I am new to the affinity scene and just wondering if I can add a logo or photo behind something or someone? thanks :)

  13. Hey guys... I've been using AD a lot in the last year and I wanted to share with you some of the results. As you can see in these images, my main project consists of creating Windows 10 Themes, which is basically UI design... and in this department, AD has no actual competition on Windows (Adobe XD is far too featureless for what I need and PS is a nightmare to use for UI design). While working with tons of artboards and a lot of exports, this is where AD shines, as the Export Persona makes my life a whole lot easier. But at the same time, I found some flaws in AD, which is not a bad thing because I was able to do my part in the community and offer experiential feedback to help improve the app. Now, what can I say about my work... the theme above is called Simplify 10 Dark Colorful which is inspired partially by the MacOS UI, and bellow I have something for the Linux fans as well, a collection of 10 themes called Maverick 10 which is inspired by the Ubuntu design language. Over time I made many other themes and I also use AD for web design exclusively now and in time I hope to make it my main design tool. If you like my work, then head over to deviantArt and check out my entire gallery: deviantart.com/dpcdpc11 Thank you for making this amazing piece of software!
  14. Made some T-shirt designs in Affinity Designer. All vector, no pixels. More designs in my portfolio blog. (Images removed due to adult content - please follow the link above to view)
  15. Re-designed my Clients Music Artist's logo for a stronger and yet simple feel. The old logo might still be here (www.soundcloud.com/HolySKITXO) Critiques and Compliments appreciated.
  16. I want to create graphics that look like they're on paper and cut out. I want to duplicate this paper form and move it for a shadow. The result should look like in the OpenClipart example: https://openclipart.org/detail/160609/new-cartoon-giraffe I don't get a suitable result with the effects. The graphics consist of lines and are in a group. Is there a possibility to create a border automatically (like in the example manually)? Regards test.afdesign
  17. Simple tutorial showing how you can create a vector compass using simple shapes.
  18. I usually use Clip Studio Paint for raster painting as it's super responsive and the blend and mix tools are brilliant, but I thought I'd work on this piece in Designer and Photo using some of the Daub and Frankentoon brushes I've purchased over the past couple of years - seems to have worked out OK although I still prefer mixing and blending in CSP
  19. So this is a Go game board I created in Affinity Designer. I probably could have done more with the Live Layers in Affinity Photo but either way I was really impressed that I could keep everything editable and non-destructive, and still be able to create the wood texture. Feel free to use the file for whatever you please GoBoard_1.afdesign
  20. Simple colorized glass spheres created with Affinity Designer BETA 1.7.0.4. Glaskugeln.mp4 You can download the sample file here. Keep on drawin' Norbert
  21. Hi! I am pretty new at all this, and still getting the hang of how to use Affinity designer. This is my first attempt a reasonably realistic, complete picture, and it seems a shame to spend a lot of time on it and not show anyone!
  22. Another of my all time favorite bikes. Unfortunately, never owned one but learnt to ride on a Velocette Valiant which I owned as a teenager. It was a 200cc flat twin with shaft drive. Found out recently that only1600 were made. Fairly happy with my illustration but I wish I could get more realistic chrome effects. Does anyone have any tips for this?
  23. Hi guys, this tutorial show how you can achieve an interlaced text effect. If you found it useful, youtube likes and comments are greatly appreciated)
  24. If there is already a graphic style in one color, e.g. red, it is not possible to create new graphic styles with the same red, but different line widths. I tested this with the outline color for paths and rectangles. The problem occurs only with contours without filling.
  25. A few lines and effects in Affinity Designer's Draw Persona, a few brush strokes with the @Frankentoon brushes in Pixel Persona and the idea for a belt buckle takes shape. There is still a little work on the pixel drawn belt buckle but I think for a first idea which takes only a few minutes it's okay. Gürtelschnalle.mp4
