  1. Hi tobiL, You can use the following shortcuts: alt+cmd+[ alt+cmd+]
  2. For reference, here's the thread Matt is talking about. And another one related to the same subject.
  3. 3. That's probably because you have some clipped objects. If you drag an object over the other you will clip it. If you then select that "group" the clipped object will not show the outline, only the main shape. See the attached image. The white ellipse is "inside" the blue ellipse. Note it doesn't show the outline and its indented in the layer panel. You can achieve this setting the target to Inside in the toolbar or just dragging an object over the other.
  4. MattP, Noooo, don't need to "bug" him... ^_^ it will be ready when it's ready B) . rui_mac Yes, I´m portuguese.
  5. Hello echslectir, Welcome to Affinity Forums. Regarding your questions: 1. No there isn't a repeat action at this point and i don't know if it's planned (you can always request it in the requests section); 2. True. It's not possible to snap to nodes yet. The snapping system isn't completed. Affinity team has been working hard on it and it should be available soon (maybe tomorrow or next week's Tuesday). 3.That line shows which objects are selected and which don't. It's color is tied to the color of the layer containing that object. So you if you change the color of a layer (right-click on a layer to change it), the outline color, object controls and bounding box of the objects of that layer will change accordingly. There's no way to turn that line off.
  6. Welcome aboard Boudewijn, Absolutely loved your Star Wars illustrations. So cool :D Looking forward for more work from you. Cheers
  7. rui_mac, As far as i know they are working hard (I know Ben is) on the snapping system (pen and node tools and i believe the snap options too), so this will probably be addressed with those. I remember MattP saying in other thread this will be coming soon (maybe tomorrow), so you don't have to wait much to find out... (i hope not because it would help me a lot too  )
  8. Definitely don´t stop there. Hand sketched drawings are trending again. Just take a look at some stock image/illustration websites. Your style is great. It has a vintage vibe that's becoming very valued nowadays (the girl at left). And if you're enjoying doing it... is there any better reason to keep going?
  9. Yes, definitely. But it's always cool see other's artwork and the blend tool is very useful, so carry on... :)
  10. Nice work Sunset. Love the hand sketched style you got there. Does the Intuos have any lag? I'm thinking in buying a new one for me but i'm afraid about the possible lag...
  11. ChrisP, I haven't seen any specific request for a 3d grid system although some people already mentioned perspective and isometric grids in different threads. For reference there's a thread discussing additional grid systems here but its focusing more on 2D/layout grid systems. Distortion/skew tools were already requested and being a fundamental feature they are probably coming soon, but this is just me guessing. Nobody in Affinity team have given a timeframe for this yet. johndenison, Those features are not available in the current Beta.
  12. Hello smithlogotype, Welcome to the forums, This feature was already suggested and its coming later eventually. More info at this thread Cheers
  13. It's quite practical yes. Would like to see it implemented too.
  14. We can do that in Photoshop. Would be useful in Designer as well as in Affinity Photo. Probably Publisher could benefict from this as well!
  15. Yes, it does copy everything. There's no way to separate the object style from the effects applied.
  16. Hi Dams, You can do that already. Just copy (ctrl+c) the object with the style/effects you want and then go to Edit -> Paste Style or press shift+cmd+v All the effects applied to the source object will be copied over to the new object.
  17. Hi Dale, I think the videos are all very well made. I liked in particular the tutorial videos. They are short enough and concise. The feature videos are great as well. No sound helps to focus and understand what's going on. The quick intro in the #BecauseWeCan series based on the Affinity logo is really nice. The only aspect i'm not so sure about is the music selected for #BecauseWeCan video series. I think the mood isn't quite there. I was expecting something more energetic, with a little more punch without being pretentious. The actual music is maybe too much unpretentious and light. It lacks some presence for a series that's supposed to engage based on the strengths of the program. But as other things this is rather personal and some people may find it perfectly adequate. Only trying/comparing with a couple different options we can evaluate better which one works best.
  18. Hello freethink, Welcome to the forums. There's a couple of threads already discussing your request. Check them out here and here.
  19. Thanks for taking a look Ben. I suppose you're talking about tangents and stuff like that :)
  20. Joining my hat to yours since this feels all like magic to me ^_^ My utmost respect to Affinity team (and all programmers in general).
  21. Hi Dams, Sketch has a similar feature too. This was already requested but i can't find the corresponding thread. I will update this topic if i find it.
  22. Hi Jens, There isn't a list of all features available other than the one provided by the Affinity Designer website. For keyboard shortcuts go to the help file and do a search for those exact terms. You will get a page with all shortcuts available. Additionally, for modifier keys take a look at the status bar at the bottom. It has information about the modifier keys available for the tool you have selected.
  23. There's nothing unusual in your file. Maybe it's just because the PDF exporter isn't fully completed yet?
