The Guides Manager issue is already known/logged.

One small request on my part (and this may be too difficult to be worth the effort), but it would be great if the logic was tweaked a bit for grouping on copy + paste operations. One example: currently I'm Cmd + dragging over a set of icons, and each icon is nested in a folder and named appropriately. To work quickly, I may Cmd + drag to select, then copy and paste them onto another artboard. But now the pasted icons have lost their groups, and they're pasted in as a messy pile of layers. Of course, I could select the folders from the layers panel to copy and paste, I just have to fish for them, which takes a tad bit longer. It would be great if the logic realized when I had selected all children in a group, and copied the group instead of just the child layers.

Thanks for your feedback. Affinity snapping system isn't finished yet. There's still more options/features being developed.
Besides the options found in the Snapping Manager there's also specific/local snapping settings for the Pen and Node Tools (check the context toolbar, Snap section).

A couple of bug I found:
 
- In layer fx the combo Gaussian blur, Colour overlay and Preserve alpha active makes Colour overlay disappear.
- Guides Manager with multiple artboards is unreliable, and calculates values starting from first artboard, not for current (on screen position is correct)

Text Styles are a must even for UI design. 

You can add gradients to application palettes and document palettes. I believe you need to create it on the object first, and then you can either:
- right click and 'Add Fill from Selection'
- or on the swatches panel, there should be a button with a palette icon that should do the same thing.

One more strange thing I've noticed on and off (in 1.4 and 1.4.1) is sometimes when dragging or resizing a containing shape with "Locked Children" selected, the interior objects will occasionally (randomly) jitter and then move, disappearing, even if I move the containing shape back to its original location. If I open up the parent shape folder, I can still see the child layers nested inside, but they've randomly moved around the canvas, hidden because they're not within the visible shape area. Stranger still, pressing undo does nothing to return the child objects to their proper place within the parent masking shape. Sorry I don't have an example of this I can share but just thought I would note it. This isn't an issue on every attempt, but it is happening.

You are not being ignored. We are aware that some users prefer how the colour picker works in other apps and will eventually change/improve it. But there was other things taking priority. You can also access it pressing ⌥ (option/alt) and dragging the mouse a little when using the Brushes tools.
 
Regarding your question, just go to menu View ▸ Reset Rotation

Hmm, that's not deliberate - it sounds like a very easily corrected bug, but we'll have to see how it looks in terms of uploading to Apple in time for the update... We're already risking quite a lot that it'll get reviewed fast enough to meet our deadline, so I'm not sure we can risk putting it back again by submitting another build (we submitted RC7 earlier today - it'll appear on here in a few minutes in theory...)

Hi waveman777, not that this is a total fix for you but for me, as I was bugged by the eyedropper function as well starting out I do like the >copy from one object then command>shift>v to another object to inherit the original objects attributes, colour and effects workflow. This saved me from a world of frustration. I do find the eyedropper behaviour a bit awkward currently, but I think, I hope, some of these basics will be refined once the initial feature push has quieted down.
 
While I find Designer's colouring, shading, effects toolset second to none, very good and more than adequate, I am still finding some of the basic pen tool drawing and path creating workflow not fully baked yet. ;) I do have hope though, and I appreciate Affinity's focus on the overall feature set right now to satisfy the exporting and artboard workflow.

Any help you could offer to stabilise and refine the product at this stage will be very gratefully received      :)  We won't be implementing any new features now for this version and we will be focusing on stabilising the product for the immediate future. few questions/tips about artboards:
 
– when duplicating in layers menu, copy of artboard is placed over the original. Shouldn't it be moved to a free space on canvas?
– when I copy object on artboard 1, then select artboard 2 and paste the objects, they are pasted over the artboard 1… I would really prefer to paste them inside the artboard 2, in the best case on the same relative position…
 
an idea about colors:
– would it be possible to define swatch color in different color spaces? Companies usually have visual identity manual with predefined colors in different spaces (and the values are usually not just transferred from rgb to cmyk). Would be very handy, if we can define let say AFFINITY BLUE in one swatch color with values for (RGB, CMYK, SPOT) and the correct values would be used according to output, screen etc. would be useful… :-) What I do right now when defining palate for client, I  make AFFINITY BLUE (RGB) swatch, and AFFINITY BLUE (CMYK) swatch. Or did I miss something how to handle this?
