These were both done on Designer ipad version 1. I was studying metallic shine and reflection.

This is my first completed artwork using Affinity - well 75% Affinity.

I retired nearly 2 years ago and recently cancelled my Adobe Subscription so found Affinity to be the best affordable alternative. I have about 20 pictures of race cars that I work on when I feel like it and this is one that I have decided to finish. Not a well known Formula 1 car and this was it's only Grand Prix.

The nosecone and a few other bits were designed using Adobe but the rest is Affinity Designer and Photo. My next illustration will be pure Affinity.

Painting with watercolor can be very difficult because I was fighting the urge to make it clean and trim. Mimicking the water spread and blots make it even more interesting.

Recent paintings I've done. All with my personal brush set, link in signature.

I've recently been spending time creating items for Christmas, and have been working on some paper cut out effects for Affinity Designer. This has involved creating lots of assets, brushes, styles and a colour palette. I find Watercolor painting in AD satisfying. Like every other artwork there is a dilemma whether to keep on pushing for clarity of your work or making it watercolor like effect. The decision when to stop always confront me. Affinity gives you many options how to end it. Since I’m only practicing and in the learning stage, how the image end up to be is more about knowing how much you can do on these software.
