  1. I use it for editing my photography too. It's actually pretty decent. I started with trying to recreate whatever I made in Photoshop in Affinity Photo and it took some trial and error but eventually I got it. All of these are edited in Affinity Photo: www.maartentummers.nl
  2. Yes and no imo. First link per example is one with no replies or traction from 2021 for v1. I did check some and tried the first couple of pages of the v2 board before I made my post. The point obviously is not just to make my opinions known but also to bring stuff to affinitys attention. These topics are untouched in the v2 board (did check the first couple of pages) and Googles results are 0 traction old posts for v1. Srr for breaking the rules. Mods can close this topic if they want
  3. Thanks so much! Yes exactly that and I have no idea how I have missed this lol. but as I said. "Some of these might have already been posted or maybe even implemented at this point, yet I am unable to find. But who knows. Here goes" Thanks so much again :3 19 entries to go!
  4. Oh gawd, I have to make 20 seperate topcis Thanks for the warning though.
  5. Hey all Just to let the devs know what I feel like are some great additions from V2 going forward. Some of these might have already been posted or maybe even implemented at this point, yet I am unable to find. But who knows. Here goes General Launcher App: An app from where you can start the apps but also update them. If new apps are released (if ever) they can be added here too and from this app you can then go and get a better overview. For examples see Articulate 360 launcher app or the launcher app from the company that shall not be mentioned. Affinity Photo AI Object seperation: Some AI related tools that help you seperate object/background in one click. I have seen this implemented in other tools (Photoshop, On1 Photo RAW) and while not perfect you can always refine the selection. RAW Engine Improvements: The RAW Engine of V2.0 is already tons better than the one of V1, especially on the highlights but I'd say keep improving Affinity Designer UI/UX tools: I feel like there is a golden opportunity laying here now that the company who shall not be mentioned bought Figma. Affinity Designer feels like the best place for this. Resize document: Resize document in such a way it adds space to the existing document that is currently open. This might be possible already but it feels natural when designing webpages to start with the header and then move down. (edit) Tools for making graphs/charts: Like in illustrator. Add the data to a sheet from which it can build a graph/chart. Great for infographic designers I'd say. 3d Extrude: Might be useful for tons of applications Yes even for piecharts. Thanks for building such great apps and I am enjoying the V2's a ton. A lot of the ideas I posted could even be spread across the other apps but I just felt it was more natural in the way I posted it here.
  6. The grace period is there by releasing V2.0 without it being FLOODED with new sick features that you need to have NOW!! People who bought in the affinity infrastructure long time ago will upgrade right now, others still have some time to get their moneys worth out of v1. The notice is out => V2.0 is where new features will be added. I feel there is some sort of graceperiod by releasing v2 the way they did tbh.
  7. It was a cold day that day...
  8. We already knew that the new version would come as a one time buy so will be the next one and the next one ad nauseam. If you think it's not worth the upgrade yet, just wait for the moment you feel it is. I bought day 1 as I am an early adopter and felt it was totally worth it already. If you bought into affinity a couple of months ago you don't have to run to the stores yet. Eventually people decide for themselves. Anyway the notice is out. V2 is released, this will be the version that will be updated with new features and if you think it's worth it, like i do, get it and if not wait a couple of months. Simple.
  9. Shot with a Sony A7 and a Samyang 14mm F2.8 1) File > Merge to HDR 2) Select your bracket 3) Uncheck Tonemap (you can do it later) 4) Edit in developer persona
  10. Also I want to add that the highlights/shadows slider seems to be massively improved so kudos
  11. A picture in an abandoned residence I took and edited with Affinity Photo V2. Perhaps useful to people but the way I go about it is: 1) File > HDR Merge 2) Select your HDR stack/bracket 3) Deselect Tonemap (you can always do it later but imo its not a good starting point ) 4) Merge the HDR and Edit all you want.
  12. Hey I got it to work faster. I think it is most likely a GPU issue because sometimes after I play a game (New World) for a lengthy time it happens again but somewhat later it is buttersmooth. My PC is probably just a bit of a mess but I just want to confirm that 1) normally it should work buttersmooth and 2) it has nothing to do with Affinity but rather with a bricked GPU probably Might get a new system anytime soon, but consider this one resolved for now thanks!
  13. Just checking but this behaviour doesn't show up at your end right? This is not as per design?
