  1. In addition to the blur effect, the Erase Brush Tool might come in handy in creating the desired feather effect.
  2. Perhaps I misunderstand your remark as you only have to download the lens flare PNGs, drag & drop them in APh and adjust the position and blend mode & options.
  3. In the Windows version "Plugins" doesn't even show. After Haze Removal there's nothing more.
  4. Works for me on Windows 10. Have you tried to place other pictures as well? Did the 8-Tinka.jpg open when using File/Open?
  5. If you're on Windows, go to Edit/Settings/Photoshop Plugins and direct APh to C:\Program Files\Skylum\Luminar Neo. In that folder is the plugin (LuminarNeo.8bf).
  6. In my case, W10 & MSIX, all three apps (v. 2.1) start up in around 25 seconds.
  7. I just tried it but the vector drawing is exported to a .png file with transparent background (version 2.1 on Windows 10).
  8. I just found out that Alt+click (I guess, Option+click on Mac) does exactly that, so easier that using context menu.
  9. Stuart, even your sample sheets are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
  10. I like it a lot but -- looking at the dimensions of the elements, especially the logo's and tape -- thought it was a single rather than an LP cover.
  11. I already agreed with you, the dimensions are linked and not locked. However, a padlock would indicate that the aspect ratio is locked.
  12. You're right, of course. Yet, a padlock in the Transform dialog instantly informs the user that the dimensions are linked and locked.
  13. Looks better but not really a lot. I still have to think for a second what the icon means. The padlock was much better. The question is also, why use the padlock icon in the layers panel and something else elsewhere? Consistency in the use of symbols is essential to make the app feel intuitive.
  14. Check View/View Mode. Is Pixels selected? If so, change to Vector.
  15. I agree that the Export and Load options would be a welcome addition to the Preset Manager. I'm not sure how it works on a MAC but on a Windows machine it's quite easy to use customized workspaces on another PC or laptop. You only have to copy & paste the required preset files into the right folders. I just did this not too long ago when I migrated them to a new PC.
  16. Wim, take a look at the various bug threads in these forums, including those dealing with bugs in the beta version. If you read through them, you'll see that the Affinity staff are working hard to deliver the best possible software and are quite receptive to users' constructive feedback and input. They even apologize if bugs cause us problems or if desired features are not (yet) present!
  17. After you saved your new preset, click 'Create' at the bottom of the 'new' dialog. With the new document created, you can now save it as a regular Affinity document.
  18. I'm not sure why you would need a one-click approach but perhaps this is useful: First create a picture frame the size of the canvas, you then only have to open the image file with the Place Image Tool to have it fill the canvas automatically.
  19. The main Affinity documents can be previewed in browsers but the various resources not. It would be nice to be able to preview afbrushes, afasset, afonts, and afstyles files in the various browsers. It seems that at this point these files do not have embedded thumbnails that could be accessed by browsers.
  20. Interesting. So, if the OP has the Windows/.msix setup, your advice is to try the application alias and if that doesn't work, to install the .msi version. Right?
  21. Are you on Windows and did you install Photo with the .msix installer? If so, third party apps can't access Affinity Photo. Take a look here to switch to the traditional .msi installation:
  22. Funny thing, for me it's the opposite. I like the new UI better but hope for further improvements (e.g., buttons for the studio panels and more right-click context options).
