Hiswe
Original dimensions: 55x30cm in 300dpi. Even with many pixel layers it was still ok on my macbook air… Some wheels from times to times but I was really amazed about how fast is this software :) nickdominguez, smallreflection, MattP and 6 others

retrograde
That's the "cutest" judgement day I've ever seen! ;) The "surface" has a nice softness and the pastel palette really suits the style. Great piece Hiswe! Hiswe
Thanks you all :) @Happy Kitten yes it's all vector filled with pixels layers. Compared to Photoshop, it was so easy to do! David

specworkfan
Very nice soft nintendo feel. It's a shame the taco roach coach gets obliterated by a tsunami on judgement day. :-( I'm curious though, how many layers does this have? I have found it starts to chug around the 100 layer mark for me. Original dimensions: 55x30cm in 300dpi. David
Fantastic piece, is this all brush work? Quote DART | Twitter | Dribbble
Hiswe
@specworkfan: more than 200 layers. Often a single shape filled with a pixel layer. I can't deny that there were some infamous “spinning wheel of death” from times to times. Usually when switching tool or change selection… But the brushes stroke were always fluid. Not like in Toshop where you can have a delay of half a second to see your brush appear on the artboard, and in a very shaggy way. The original idea was to be more apocalyptic (city on fire, truck already crushed…) but it hadn't pass the validation :'( @David so vector shaped filled with pixel-brushed layer ;) David

specworkfan
Interesting on that. It seems to chug more than illustrator when layers become extensive. It's not as easy to isolate groups like in ZBrush which uses CPU mostly. I assume the bottleneck is CPU for this program too and not video RAM, or RAM. At first I thought it was RAM, but I can have 400 layers open and not be maxed out on that until I make a lot of changes. The save states eat up the RAM eventually, but Yosemite is pretty good about managing it. The workaround for me is to switch off groups and use screenshot background. I agree about the shakiness. It's hard to make lines when it is slow. @specworkfan: more than 200 layers. Often a single shape filled with a pixel layer.
