Hello Peoples !

Just want to know if it is possible to do a content aware crop or/and content aware fill with Affinity.

if No ! did someone achieve something similar using one of the available tools ?
Please share if you succeeded with this so can learn and apply.

in case of 100% then it would be a great functionality to add.

Blessings !

There is no content aware crop or fill in Affinity. In the sense I think you probably mean "content aware," this would require some kind of machine learning algorithms, which would have been trained using various methods to recognize many kinds of content.

A few graphics editing apps already include machine learning ("ML") features, for example apps that use the Adobe "Sensei" framework or Pixelmator Pro 1.3 Prism (Mac only), which they claim was trained on 20 million (!!!) images. I bought it because of those ML features, but it is still sort of hit or miss, particularly the repair tool, which is sort of a "smart" version of Affinity Photo's Inpainting Tool.

Anyway, as you might imagine, it takes a lot of time & resources to develop & train ML-based features, so I doubt we will see anything like that in the version 1 Affinity apps.
