NoLongerHere Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I originally did this in Illustrator but it was missing something and needed more work so spent the last few days redoing it in AD although I did use the main underlying shapes, seemed pointless doing those again. It's a good improvement on the original. Being so long and thin it loses a lot of detail at low res even on the close up though. ArnoldT, MattP, PierreLR and 21 others 24 Quote
stldoug Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 That's awesome. Love the reflection details in the window trim. Quote ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ macOS 15.3.2 | Mac mini (2023)| Apple M2 Pro | 16 GB
GarryP Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Excellent work. Very nicely done. I'm not sure that the shadow under the car looks quite right, but the overall amount of detail is very impressive. Quote
NoLongerHere Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 It looks a bit strange but it's correct. I based it on a photo and it's just the way they lit it. The photo was of a replica made by the same people who made the original, Barris Kustom. But for some reason they used different side badges so I changed it to use the original one. Puck 1 Quote

limas.design Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Wow, looks like made with 3D program. Nice work! I quite agree with @GarryP , shadow looks a bit strange. But overall, stunning work. Quote

gdenby Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 The original shadow looked weird to me too. Maybe from an odd lighting angle. Any rate, fine work. Next, you need to put in the promotion model. I'm thinking the Julie Newmar Catwoman, sitting on the hood, flicking the windshield with a finger, and a script phrase like "Why Batman, when I hear this roar, I want to purr..." NoLongerHere Posted September 5, 2017 Author Posted September 5, 2017 It was just the lighting angle. Batman inside and Catwoman on the bonnet. Will perhaps try later, working on a classic Ferrari at the moment. Quote
