Search bar of support is illegible

When I enter words into the search bar on the support forum the text is almost the same color as the background. I think am not able to tell what i have entered.

 

this is evident in the screen shot provided. I tested this on chrome.

This has been requested in the past we will be updating the forums in the future so I suspect this will be changed as a part of those updates :)

I've given up waiting for Serif to fix this. I'm using Vivaldi, which is a Chromium browser, so I've installed the Stylus extension and written a simple user stylesheet (for all URLs on the domain affinity.serif.com) to make the search bar text legible:

Too bad we cannot alter AD's poor contrast as easily...even if the lighter UI is due, well, any minute.

If anyone is interested, I believe you can do the same in Safari as well. Just create a custom CSS with Alfred’s code, store it anywhere on your hard drive and open it as a custom CSS file through  Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Style Sheet.  :)

 

(It’s the same method I got these annoying Facebook overlays out of the way … ;))

Or change the theme to the standard "IP.Board one", not "Beacon (Import)", in the bottom right of the forum. The Beacon skin is pretty but not well designed.
