Affinity Designer - Is there an automatic raster to vector feature available?

Recommended Posts

At one point there was some indication that auto trace would be a 2.0 feature (meaning it would be part of a paid upgrade), but I do not know if that is still true.

There are dedicated tools (free, inexpensive and quite expensive) for this so it is not mandatory to use illy. Usually autotrace is separate step that takes its own fiddling so it does not have to happen in same AD application. Of course in some workflows it might ease thing a lot.

It is a feature that will be most welcome. In the interim, I'm using an app, Image Vectorizer, which cost $5 I think. Works pretty well.

I did a quick comparison of some of the FREE tools available. Not very scientific - just using defaults to get a sense of capability.
