Ldina
Eastern Bluebird Illustration, done in Designer v.2.5.5 and Pixel Persona. I often pick illustration projects that are over my head, which forces me to learn new things. This was definitely one of them. I'm not totally satisfied, but it actually came out better than I thought it would when I first started it. I need to find a better way of approaching these projects—my approach is too halter-skelter. It took me a LONG time because more than half my time was spent learning, trying to develop brushes (mostly new to me), etc. This was the first time I used a Wacom tablet for some of it, and that in itself was a whole new learning experience. uuxxaa, DelN, MaynardWarren and 17 others 19 1 Quote 2024 MacBook Pro M4 Max, 48GB, 1TB SSD, Sequoia OS, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher v1 & v2, Adobe CS6 Extended, LightRoom v6, Blender, InkScape, Dell 30" Monitor, Canon PRO-100 Printer, i1 Spectrophotometer, i1Publish, Wacom Intuos 4 PTK-640 graphics tablet

Thanks for the encouragement, Alfred. I struggle with the best way to approach constructing my layer hierarchy, sequences, etc. I probably need to watch some videos on how other artists approach projects like this. Also, making and using pixel brushes nearly drove me insane! (not that I'm not halfway there already! 🥴) Alfred 1 Quote 2024 MacBook Pro M4 Max, 48GB, 1TB SSD, Sequoia OS, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher v1 & v2, Adobe CS6 Extended, LightRoom v6, Blender, InkScape, Dell 30" Monitor, Canon PRO-100 Printer, i1 Spectrophotometer, i1Publish, Wacom Intuos 4 PTK-640 graphics tablet

jmwellborn
@Ldina Your bluebird is glorious. I have several who live and nest in my yard, and you have captured the irridescence of his wing to perfection. They are such magnificent birds. Here is one of my babies, about 3 minutes after he left his nest for the first time, following his 4 siblings into the Great and Glorious World. I should have cropped this image, but I wanted you to see how tiny the little boy was. Ldina
@StuartRc, @jmwellborn ....Thank you for your kind feedback. We also have nesting bluebirds in our back yard and see them fairly regularly. Only once in a great while, we also see Indigo Buntings, which are even more colorful and saturated. Maybe I'll try to do one of them someday. Thanks again. 😊 Quote 2024 MacBook Pro M4 Max, 48GB, 1TB SSD, Sequoia OS, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher v1 & v2, Adobe CS6 Extended, LightRoom v6, Blender, InkScape, Dell 30" Monitor, Canon PRO-100 Printer, i1 Spectrophotometer, i1Publish, Wacom Intuos 4 PTK-640 graphics tablet

Learning new techniques and tools like the Wacom tablet can be a steep learning curve, but it’s great that you’re pushing your boundaries. Consider breaking your projects into smaller, manageable tasks next time to streamline your process. Remember, every project is a step toward improvement, so keep experimenting and practicing! Would love to see the final result! As a student, managing finances can be tough, and I needed affordable help with my research paper. That’s when I found Academized’s academized.com/cheap-research-paper Cheap Research Paper service. Despite the lower cost, the quality of the paper was excellent. The writer was knowledgeable, and the paper was delivered on time. It helped me submit my work without breaking the bank. I’ll definitely be using this service again for future assignments." I thought it was a picture until I read your post. I can't believe it is a drawing. Ldina
