See screen shot. What is wrong? How can I change the document size without the menu command?

I'm going to try to just shrink all the existing elements until I can get this figured out.

It would help to have a more complete screenshot, showing the rest of the application window, or at least the rest of the Menu bar and Tool bar and Context Toolbar.

I'll guess from what I can see that you're in the Pixel Persona of Designer, and though I would still expect Document Setup in the File menu there (and it is, on Windows), my first suggestion would be to switch to the Designer Persona and see if that gives you the menu item.

Or, with the Move Tool selected, you should have Document Setup in the Context Toolbar.

With the Move Tool drag-select all elements in the main window + untick the option "Lock Children" in the Context Toolbar + drag to scale with the outer bottom right handle / or type the wanted size in the Transform panel.

Document setup is only available in the Designer persona (file menu or the shortcut shift + command + P) on Mac OSX (14 in my case).

If you are using pixel or export - nothing.

Oddly, the Shortcuts list for the Pixel persona lists Document Setup which doesn't match the menu. The Export persona doesn't.

FWIW, it is there on my Mac running Catalina (macOS 10.15.7) in both the Designer & Pixel Personas of AD. If it is not in Sonoma then that is probably a bug of some sort related to that newest macOS version.

EDIT: I just checked again & like everybody else is reporting now I have File > Document Setup only in the Designer Persona. I'm not sure what I thought I was seeing when I wrote the above. Sorry for any confusion I might have caused.

Now that is weird!

I tested the shortcut in each persona, for me there is no response in the pixel persona.
shift + command + P is in my stream deck.

Sonoma has "a few" issues supporting apps, Canon accounting manager for wide format printers won't even run on Sonoma, it was really useful on OSX 13.

Same on macOS 12.7

For me Document Setup is available from:
The File menu only in Designer persona.
The big button marked ‘Document Setup’ in the Context toolbar in both Designer and Pixel personas, but only if no items in the Layers panel are selected.

Yes, there seems to be a difference between the macOS and Windows versions of Designer here. The Windows version has File > Document Setup in both Designer and Pixel Personas, but the macOS version has it only in the Designer Persona.

And for me, it shows the same "⇧⌘P" (Shift-CMD-P) shortcut as in the Designer persona, but it just produces a system error beep if I try to use it in that Persona.

So either that should not be in the Shortcuts list for that persona or it should be on the File menu in the Pixel persona. My guess from what Walt said is that it is a bug in the Mac version & should be on the File menu in both personas.

More clarification, Im in the older version. I have the newer version also (Designer 2) but this project is due today, so no time to learn the new software.

Thank you for the suggestion to switch to "Designer Persona" that showed the missing menu selection!
