wim Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Met hoeveel bugs is v2 geleverd? Hoeveel bugs zijn correct opgelost? How many bugs did v2 ship with? How many bugs have been properly fixed? Quote

It is very unlikely that Serif would report that information. 55 minutes ago, wim said: How many bugs have been properly fixed? Do you mean known bugs that V2 shipped with or bugs that shipped with V2 but no one knew of these bugs at the time, or both? 1 hour ago, wim said: How many bugs have been properly fixed? By properly fixed do you mean fixed bugs that will work on every Windows, Mac & iPad hardware and software configurations out there, when Version 2.1 is released? wim Posted April 7, 2023 Author Posted April 7, 2023 If no one knew about the bugs, you could say it was not tested before being sold. Quote
carl123 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Every complex piece of software sold will have bugs in it, no matter how well you think you have tested it PaulEC and Pšenda 2 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If you waited for any software not to have any bugs it would never be sold! No matter how well a piece of software is tested, some bugs will not show up until it is actually used in the "real world". People are still reporting bugs in Affinity v1, if Serif were still testing it to try to find these bugs, it still would not have been released! You can't test everything with every operating system and every hardware. Software like the apps from Affinity, Adobe and others are too complex to guarantee that there are no bugs in it. Sad but true. PaulEC 1 Quote
Hilltop Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Wim, take a look at the various bug threads in these forums, including those dealing with bugs in the beta version. If you read through them, you'll see that the Affinity staff are working hard to deliver the best possible software and are quite receptive to users' constructive feedback and input. They even apologize if bugs cause us problems or if desired features are not (yet) present! PaulEC and Patrick Connor 1 1 Quote
