mikeswarts
Maybe a strange questions but—if I wanted circular pages for example, could I make the pages themselves circular?
firstdefence
Short answer: no Longer answer: The format is always rectangular but you can have a transparent background and a circular text frame, or circular shape that contains your content but always within the confines of a rectangle. GarryP
Just out of interest, what would you want to be doing with the non-rectangular output?
IanSG
I've seen fan-folded product instructions* shaped to fit the packaging. * I'm assuming they were instructions - needless to say I didn't read them! AlanPickup
They would have started out square or rectangular when printed and then cut & creased in post production at the printers. sfriedberg and PaulEC 2 Quote Alan Pickup Windows 11 Home all Affinity suite of Apps PC and Gigabyte Laptop 16gb Ram and Nvidia GTX1660 Super on each. I think what the OP is alluding to is this, the circular artboard is faked to give an example... But the reality is... @mikeswarts Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.4.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... I am just curious but step by step how did you create that fake? Every time I try it when I compound subtract the ellipse from the rectangle, the ellipse shows as white on a transparent background in the compound on the Layers panel, regardless of what fill color it is set to, as does the thumbnail of the compound: fake not working?.afdesign Eventually, if I play around with it long enough, AD crashes but there is no crash report.
