IsabelAracama Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Hi, What's the reason behind removing the shortcut "C" to activate the corner tool? I just realised as I finally updated to 1.7.3 and I really miss it! Please bring it back if possible? Quote isabelaracama.com Youtube Tutorials
v_kyr Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Works as default for me in AD (german localisation), check your keyboard settings and maybe reassign that key shortcut. markw Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Yes a bit odd that, especially considering that the C key hasn’t been assigned to anything else by default in 1.7.3. It was missing for me too but as v_kyr says you can of course go into the keyboard shortcut prefs and re-add it without upsetting some other function. firstdefence Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Maybe it's a Mac vs Windows thing because I'm on Mac and 'C' works for me. G13RL Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 The shortcut is present and also works on Windows 10. IsabelAracama 1 Quote
Gear maker Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 I just tried it on my mac and sure enough C didn't work. Went into preferences and found the entry for the Curve Tool to be empty. I am using version 1.8.0.2. Adding it back into the keyboard shortcuts rectified the issue. On 1.7.3 it is working. IsabelAracama 1 Quote iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra
firstdefence Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Seems to be a mixed bag, 1.8.0.2 works for me as well 2 for 2 lol! h_d Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Just tried Corner Tool in Designer 1.8.0.2 for Mac and the C shortcut was enabled and worked fine. IsabelAracama 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2.5.3, Affinity Designer 2.5.3, Affinity Publisher 2.5.3, Mac OSX 14.5, 2018 MacBook Pro 15" Intel.

Same for me in that Mac beta. There is no shortcut for that tool in the retail version of 1.7.3 installed on my Mac, but that is because I deleted it at some point in the past, most likely in some 1.6 or even 1.5 version. FWIW, https://affinity.help/designer/en-US.lproj/pages/Workspace/shortcuts.html shows C as the default for that tool but I don't know if it is accurate. This was it! Thanks all for the quick and helpful replies. So for whatever the reason it wasn't enabled by default for me on 1.7.3 on a mac. I had to input "C" on shortcuts preferences as it was empty, just as Gear maker pointed out. Also, just found out the zoom tool was assigned to "B"... Quote isabelaracama.com Youtube Tutorials
