I found 2 bugs today but I'm not sure if this is already reported. The first bug was as I created a second window with "new view" as I wanted set it to full-screen on my second monitor the window goes white and didn't show anything. The second bug I got is with the pen tool if I TAB out sometime it creates a random point on the artboard and sometimes it doesn't want to make points after I TAB back in. Overall I like affinity designer but why it always jumps back to the artboard and doesn't want to stay in the group I created, so I need to bring all parts manually back into the group I created before. This can be really frustrating if you have other parts outside the group and doesn't know now with parts belongs to the group.

Every single time I paste text from Gmail that contains line breaks combined with multiple types of formatting (Bold, italics, etc...) into a text box, Publisher will crash. This only happens when copying from Chrome, as pasting the same text from other sources seems stable. The current beta doesn't seem to like Gmail on Chrome much... -
Hi in last pub beta I'm left with only one ARIAL font... ARIAL MT regular and cannot select ARIAL regular as it reverts back to ARIAL MT. In earlier Pub betas and in designer1.65 I could see and select all the variants of ARIAL (9 of them). -
Dear all, I need to clone from a static source point with the clone tool in photo. In other words I want the source point to remain fixed where it was originally set instead of following the clone tools movement with a fixed distance while hovering over the target area. From what I understood from the docs, this behavior can be achieved by unchecking the “aligned” checkbox but this doesn’t work for me (actually checking or unchecking the box doesn’t seem to change the tools behavior at all. Bug or feature or my fault - don’t know). Is that possible? Any help appreciated. Thanks. -
Software version: Affinity Photo Beta 1.7.0.243. The Hue Blend mode in affinity is taking Saturation and Luminosity from bottom layer and Hue from Blend layer. Could anybody suggest is there any blend mode that retains Hue and Lightness from bottom layer and Hue from blend layer. The mam_tor.afphoto views as locked and can not be exported as described in the Affinity Workbook page 151, while the file seems not to be locked in the MacOS finder. How may I unlock this file (I didn't find anything on this on Help nor Forum ...)?

Hi Everyone, woke up today to find this bug, was perfectly fine yesterday now everything is in low res. I am running MacOS Mojave (Macbook Pro 15 inch late 2015) with APB in 1.7.0 I think (just updated). Already tried to unistall it and install it again. Thank You Somebody can help?

Hi I seriously need help, UI is in Low Res/ Blurry I have been trying posting this problem before but with no answer and now I am really dependant of this software, already tried to uninstall and install, update but no solution. It's for the Publisher Beta but I guess one fix covers all. 1.7 on OSX Please Help. -
Hey, I’m experiencing some problems with angle’s values for circular and ring shapes while I was making a pie chart. When I enter, for exemple, 90° as the end angle, it turn in another angle. See the video attached. It seems like it happens when the shape is a duplicated one. Am I the only one who has this ? 686B0CCD-2B48-4237-86D8-25443954C8D5.MOV

So I installed the new update and the program is now unusable if I want to make new files as it freezes The program works fine when opening old files, however now when typing certain words get automatically capitalized that should not be. I did not encounter any of these bugs before downloading the new version. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling over to SSD without success. Any ideas?

This report is about a bug with the keyboard shortcut CTRL+Left Click. This is how it should work: When you press CTRL + drag, it creates a duplicate of the form, and drags it around. This is a fast way to copy an object. I can hold down CTRL + hold down Left Click, and losen up the CTRL, and drag the duplicate around with me. This is how it currently works: When you press CTRL + drag, it creates a duplicate of the form visually, and drags it around. If you losen up the key CTRL, the copied object disappears, and the original object that was being copied, would now appear to be dragged around. I must hold in the CTRL key all the time, and losen it AFTER I have stopped holding left click on it, in order for the duplicate to be permanent.

Hi, I think I have encountered a bug when outputting a PDF for print. Here's how my artwork is set up and (hopefully) how to replicate the bug: Create new document with a bleed value and multiple artboards Create objects that overlap bleed area File > Export and select PDF Select 'PDF (for print)' preset. Though this may occur on other presets Select an Area of one of the artboards Tick the 'Include bleed' checkbox In the 'More' section select to 'include printers marks' Export the file The resulting PDF features the single artboard artwork and all the printer's marks but no bleed. This can be remedied by selecting the 'Area' in the PDF export dialogue to be the 'Whole document'. Then the 'include bleed' setting seems to be honored. Please let me know if you need any further details to reproduce this bug. I've attached the source artwork and the resulting PDF, sans-bleed. PS Also, on a point of English, should the label "include printers marks" be "include printer's marks"? multiple artboards.afdesign Art2.pdf -
Hello, I found this bug after add Live Perspective filer (what buggy yet): - open a picture to background - add a rectangle and set fill to gradient - add a picture, and use Live Perspective filter What is bugs? - filter is crop the (second added) parent picture. I solved if duplicate picture, and delete original filtered picture. - show a transparent cut and a blurred area over project. I check out added picture and gradient too, but no helped and I cannot delete this. Project close and open not helped. See my attachment.

Hello People. Select a Layer or an object from Photo or Designer and paste it into Publisher actually kills the possibility to Zoom in/out using the trackpad. Bug ? Can anyone reproduce this and see if it does the same thing? If it's a bug could it get fixed ? Functionalities shouldn't stop working after a simple copy paste Blessings! -
Hi, maybe someone can help me, and in all likelihood this is a usewr error as opposed to a program error, but' I'm noticing that letters after an apostrophe are being capitalised, i.e. I'M as opposed to I'm. Does anyone have a fix for this at all? Thanks in advance. Ben -
I thank Mr. Farrell. I am writing for having found an anomaly. My texts are in Italian, when I press the button of the apostrophe the quotation marks appear, the fact does not happen with other writing software. I ask for clarifications. Greetings and good things

Verified that this issue is not happening in previous beta versions. Steps. 1. Open a RAW image in Affinity photo 2. Click develop button in the "Develop" persona and go to the "Photo" persona Issue: Now in the Photo persona, the image looks washed out compared to the image that was shown in Develop persona. I understand that, Clipping to 8 bit is no longer done in new version. But it should be consistent between how image looks in "Develop" Persona and "Photo" Persona. Hi can anyone help me heres my problem. Cant get text to follow path no matter what. Any shape or curve no matter the method I use the artistic text cursor doent change to squiggly line. Green highlight lines pop up but text still goes straight across. Tried everything = "To create text on a path selecting a shape, change to the Artistic Text Tool and mouse-over the path. The cursor should change to a "T" with a wave line below. Click and start typing. Alternatively you can select a shape go to menu Layer ▸ Convert to Text Path and start typing. Additionally you can also use a shape as a text frame. To do it select the shape, change to the Frame Text Tool, click inside the shape and start typing (or go to menu Layer ▸ Convert to Text Frame). To convert text to curves, select it with the Move Tool and click on Convert to Curves button on the context toolbar" None of these work. I have follow instructions to the letter, watch several different methods and videos. There is no convert text to curve option in layer menu no matter what I have selected. This is basic stuff why is this so difficult to make work? Is this a bug? Corrupted version? I have affinity on desktop and on laptop both are having these issues. Update fix? Please help.

When I zoom out the canvas in both AD and AP I get wavy lines when using the brush tool, not super noticeable but still annoying. But when I zoom in the canvas the lines don't seem to have this problemas. I also tested in Clip Studio but didn't get any wavyness. I use a Cintiq. Also I have been experiencing Lag. -
Some photoshop brushes work just fine but others seem to lose their propeties. I don't know if it is because they are not fully compatible.

Hi, I have cropped a photo to size. I have rasterised the layer, but when I'm using inpainting brush, it keeps taking data from outside the canvas, but as far as I know, it shouldn't, as the layer has been rasterised. The inpainting tool behaves as the layer has not been rasterised. Am I doing something wrong? APhoto Beta 1.7.0.188 I attach sample screenshots when I'm trying to inpaint building on the top right.

When using the new Levels, it seems to map to Curves with the old Black Level and White Level moving the left and right nodes horizontally, and the new Output Black Level and Output White Level moving the Curves nodes vertically. All well and good. But it gets a bit odd when using them together. Move Black Level and Output Black Level up the same amount and you seem to return to the original image, rather than having the black point shifted and it being a big whiter overall. I've tested this on PS (CS6) and it seems to work 'correctly' there. Here's a video showing what I mean. -
I have been using Affinity photo Beta test version 1.7.0.209, when I export finished files to TIFF, the thumbnail image is corrupted , looks like something from a Hi Pass filter mid process screen, or some weird blend mode result. When I try to open the TIFF in AF Photo or ant thing else I get a weird pink rectangle, same shape as the photo canvass. AF Photo tries to open as a Raw File. I have flattened the image and even rasterized it to no avail. This is on around 90% of my work, occasionally I get one that works. I want to archive all my processed images as TIFF to save on disc space. -
Hi, yesterday I’ve noticed that when i decided to save a jpeg in photo library, affinity will crash immiedatly To save the photo, i went to export menu, choose jpeg, but instead of doing ok (it saves directly in iCloud), i use share, then save image. Affinity 1.6.11.85

I have purchased a book which is supposed to be a .pdf file and when I open it, it says it is an Affinity Designer product and opens it in Affinity Designer with the .pdf notation in the title at the top of the document. When I try to go to a page in the book it just chooses the page for editing. This has happened with the Huion manuals and with the new ebook on Beginning Affinity designer. Kenneth Coon
