Hi, I bought one of the official brush packs some time ago and on AP 1 it worked completely fine, but on AP 2 it's impossible to open without the app instantly crashing. I've not been able to isolate anything that can cause it, it happens regardless of what document I am working on. I've also tried to add the same brush pack by importing it again, but this does not resolve the issue. (Product name is DAUB@ W&W (specifically the Bristles subcategory)). (Desktop specs: 7 3700X, 3080 10GB, 32GB 3000MHz, running OS and app on M.2 SSD) I've added some crash reports, please let me know if you need anything else, I'd greatly appreciate some insight on why this is happening, I really need those brushes. PS: Is it at all related that WindowsApps folder and my local user folder has lost its data after the new install? iPad designer V2 is crashing regularly. I have a feeling it’s the auto save feature. I decreased to 30 and it crashed quickly. Expanded it to the highest level and it’s not crashing. iPad Pro 12.9 , 2019 I think. Last model before M series processors. let me know if I can help investigate further. edit: not auto save as it crashed again

Add a new Compound Mask layer to any image/pixel layer. Create a couple or more shapes (circle, or rectangle, or star, or whatever). Place them inside the Compound Mask layer. The image/pixel only shows in the intersection of all the shapes. Now, right click the Compound Mask layer and choose Edit Mask. Affinity Photo 2 crashes!!! Also, shouldn't we have the Add/Subtract/Intersect/XOR options for a shape mask, and not only for bitmap masks?

Platform: MacOS 12.6, Apple M1 Max processor, 32 GB memory. To reproduce: Open an image (stock image is fine). Add live adjustment layer - exposure. Add live mask layer (Luminosity). All works fine to this point, changing mask and exposure. Now, try sliding mask layer down (click, drag downwards, blue line appears between exposure and base levels). Result - crash. Reproducible. Hi developer team, please check the (unlisted) video, everything explained there. When I say backup copy, I mean recovery file. Both have been there and for that I didn't lose any work. I can not reproduce it this happens coincidentally. There is one pattern: only on first start of AP. After crash and 2nd start, the problem is gone until next reboot of Mac. Something completely different, I ask this each post here in the forum: When will get Effects/Gaussian Blur be enabled for masks? When will we get a Fill slider additionally to the Opacity slider. When will be an indicator added, showing the layer has Blend Options applied? Compliments: the Affinity implementation is far better to use as he flimsy Blend-if sliders of Photoshop. Version 1.10.5, additional purchased on Serif homepage instead of AppStore. Reason: Photoshop add-ons such as Topaz Denoise do not work with AppStore version of Affinity Photo. When I attempt to modify a template, I work from the <untitled> document. If I go into Section Manager and click the icon for New Section, AP crashes to desktop and I lose all my changes. But when using a keyboard shortcut (like hitting 'B' to go to a font starting with a B, than Affinity Designer immediately freezes, crashes and after a few seconds shuts down. Hi everyone, Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find an answer for the life of me. When I go to change which font family I want to use by typing the name - e.g. I try to type "Open Sans" - affinity publisher crashes to desktop. I've tried changing the 1.0 file under %Appdata% and I have tried re-installing Affinity Publisher. I can wheel through the fonts fine, but it's when I try to type a font, everything crashes. Any help towards a solution would be most appreciated!

Since updating to Windows 11, version 22H2 Affinity Designer crashes and is unusable. Need a fix asap! Anybody else having similar issue? Anyone got a way around this, have restarted PC but no joy!

Lately I've been experiencing an issue with Publisher crashing when I try to add pages. See screen capture linked below. Details: - Publisher Version 1.10.5 - Windows 10 - occurs with new documents and already created documents - occurs with hardware acceleration on and off - no unusual hardware or applications - it's only started in the last week or so. Hei, I've been using Affinity products for a while now and never had similar problem. Suddenly, most of Publisher documents crash after adding new pages. Even those documents I have worked in a while ago. It is impossible to work, and the documents consist only of several pages. I have Windows 11, and already tried the following solutions without results: Updated Affinity to the newest version (1.10.5.1342) Checked Windows for any driver updates Tried adding page without attaching it to master page Uninstalled and installed Affinity Attached you can find some of the crash reports and the document I worked in when it happened first time. In the past couple of weeks I've had a really bizarre issue with Designer and sometimes Photo too. When I try to save a file the progress bar appears but never moves. It seems to be creating an empty file but that's it. Activity Monitor shows it taking up 100% of the cpu and I have to force quit although it doesn't register as not responding. It doesn't crash and I don't get any error message it just sits there sucking up all the CPU power. I thought maybe it was because iCloud was syncing or I didn't have enough space on my HD but I made space and icloud was not syncing. This doesn't happen on any other app so it's not a permissions issue. Please help as I obviously can't do any work until this stops happening.

Open any image. Enable Bebas Neue in FontBase, open the text tool, start typing in the font field letter B (for bebas). Boom crashes both on Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer.

This just started today. Very weird. Haven't changed my system. When i select my text and go to the text font window to change the font. I used to be able to type the name and it would show the font. It immediately crashes designer when I do this. If i click in the area where the font name is and delete the name, on the last character it will crashed the program. I now have to select the drop down menu and click the font for it to work. Any suggestions why this might happen or a fix? Thanks Gary

Hello, I wonder if someone can help me. I'm running Affinity Publisher on a Mac. I have a 52 page document mostly of text and a few images. I have a two-page master document set up with four columns along with various character styles etc. Anyway, I have set the layout as I'd like it but I now need to add two pages at the start of the document. However, when I do this I have some curious behaviour going on... firstly, when I add two pages, Publisher adds three. Secondly, when I do this, the column threads get crossed over - What I mean by that is this: If we assume that, from left to right, the columns are 1, 2, 3 and 4 and the text flow should be from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4. Well, when I add the two pages (but three are added) the text flow is 2 to 1 to 4 to 3 and then on to the next page... What am I doing wrong?! All advice gratefully received. Edward

Hi, I am new here and have bought Affinity Publisher today. I have converted my indd-File to IMDL and try to open this with the Publisher. But Publisher crashes at once. After that I try to open the PDF-File exported from InDesign, but after opening the file Publisher hangs at once no further action is possible. I must get this to work. Please help me out. The document I created is of a reasonable size - 17.9 MB (18,782,101 bytes), 10 pages, each page containing 9 cards for a game project. The document will cause the application to crash 80%+ of the time. I have tried a few things to alleviate the issue; changing the render from "UHD Graphics 605" to "WARP" has not helped, although I thought it may, but that was just the minimal chance of opening without a crash, apparently. I changed much of the imagery within the document from .eps to .svg, when I could open the document, which were smaller, but that did not help, either. There are no logs, or error message, created by Publisher to indicate what the issue is. While typing this, I managed to open the document without crashing, and split the document into 5 parts, 2 pages per document, then closed the application and re-opened each of the smaller documents individually, without any issue; for now… Is that it? Does Publisher allow a document to be created that is too large to be re-opened? If so, then maybe some internal protection is required…

Hi, I have been experiencing some issues with Affinity Photo while using it for digital art. I am running Affinity Photo version 1.10.5.1342 on Windows 11 I have a ryzen 7 3700x CPU and an NVIDIA RTX 2080 GPU I am using a drawing tablet (XP-Pen Star 03 V2) and am drawing using it on your software. The crash happens no matter the selected mode (low, high or windows ink). In all cases using the undo shortcut just after drawing with the tablet can make the entire software suddenly close.
