  2. Hi all, I have installed my own AP in the work computer, and now I need to completely uninstall (serial, preferences, etc) it from it and preventing that when another co-worker install AP doesn't use my license. I'm on Win10 How this can be done? Cheers, Juan
  3. I'm a big fan of the liquify persona, one thing I would like is to have a rectangular or bar brush. When moving a far or body having a circular brush is not easy to operate on most things. It would work much better if a bar that can be rotated as needed was used to push the pixels rather than the round brush.

  5. Hello, I wanted to make an action, in that I need one text layer (entered by the user), and hit play (the action). This has to first convert it into smart object (Not available in AP) make it's different copies re-position them according to the shape apply different effects change colors as needed Distort them without converting them into "pixel" layers (Not available in AP) make one scaleable smart object now the user realises the spelling are wrong.. He only edits one text layer That will update all the text (Not available in AP) Current actions even't doesn't support assets, even if those are made during macro recording. Current actions doesn't allow me to change colors Current available distortion converts text into pixels and no return.. Thank you
  6. 7. Hi Affnity, Hi Forumers! I (ab)use Affinity Photo to edit my astrophoto, I find Affinity Photo a great piece of software! However I'm facing a problem that I can't solve: the tiff files out of AP don't work in any star stacking software. I tested Sequator, Starry landscaper, Deep sky star stacker, Iris and Siril. All report the message "unable to read files". Strange, because with jpgs everything flows. I wrote some line to the developers and that is the answer I had: "TIFF is not fully standardized. Although they are called TIFF, some formats or fields may be incompatible. Sequator uses the most popular TIFF library, but there may be still some proprietary fields the library can not recognize." Any hint, idea, suggestion you could provide? Thanks a lot for your help! G:
  8. Hi all! So not only do I have a problem importing .abr brushes to Affinity Photo on the iPad, now I can’t even open a photo from Dropbox! I just updated my iPad to iPadOS . I went ahead and updated Affinity Photo itself to the latest version as well. I really loved using my iPad to edit my photos and these bugs are really bumming me out. What should I do? Will there be a fix for this soon? Thank you. Elaine

  14. Not sure whether this is a bug or not. I've Montserrat font installed in my system. The font has 18 different styles. But in AP & AD, some of the styles are seen repeated. For e.g. Regular, Italic and Bold. Any idea about this behaviour?
  15. While working on 3.5 m x 5 m sized document with 300 DPI, I tried to select the Selection Brush Tool in Pixel Persona. AD immediately crashed! No issues while working on documents with small dimensions. Also, tried opening the file in AP and issue exist there too!

  17. We dropped in at Mottisfont Abbey, Hampshire, last Thursday to see an exhibition of photographs by Lichfiled, Donovan and Duffy. (It's on til 4 November this year if you want to see it: well worth the trouble!) I darkened the sky separately to simulate a yellow or orange filter, and used a Black & White and Brightness/Contrast adjustments to get the selective contrast I wanted, after getting the verticals parallel with the Perspective tool. The original:-- (The chap on the bench is a scarecrow effigy of the artist Rex Whstler, who did some fantastic trompe l'oeuil painting here.)
  18. I have set up Affinity photo (purchased on the Mac app store) to use Topaz Labs Sharpen AI as a plugin. It seems to work fine apart from ... I was testing it with a jpeg from 2011 taken with an iphone 4. If I open it with Affinity Photo it displays correctly. If I open it with Sharpen AI it displays correctly. Apple preview displays it correctly. Apple Photos displays it correctly and if I use it to open the pic in Sharpen AI it also displays correctly. If I open it in Affinity and then use Sharpen as a plugin it displays upside down! The EXIF orientation data says it is rotated 180 but all 4 programs seem to ignore this when opening the file directly. However the orientation is followed when sharpen is used as an affinity plugin and there is no way to override this to display the image correctly. At this point it is a finger pointing exercise and may even be an old Apple bug but I will pose the same question to Topaz Labs. (I find the 180 rotation difficult to believe as it implies I held the phone upside down, but there it is.)

  24. Just to prove that even fossils can learn! The 35 mm slide view (top) of the chapel roof at the Air Force Academy in Colorado was scanned several years ago and lay forlornly in all its glum grandeur in a "some day this photo needs fixing file." Below is my amateur attempt at a sky replacement using Photo.
  25. This image, for a bit of mild amusement, is essentially a fake. I found an old picture of some young women on a beach which in its original state was sepia toned. After three head-swap operations (you figure it out - it's not hard) and a bit of fine trimming, I had three of my favourite yesteryear comedy actresses in the frame. So to take it even further I thought I would try to recolour the whole image using mask layers with the appropriate colours. I replaced the sky because it didn't look that good. I had no idea what colour the swim suits should be so I went for the 'washed out' look as best I could. Once all that was done I put the final image through a filter to produce the desired result, I then placed it on top of a serated edged card. I then stressed the edges a bit in an attempt to make it look worn. Anyway, enough said. I hope I've produced something that appears authentic even if it's not.
