  1. Hi, I use all three Affinity applications—Publisher, Designer, and Photo. Since some options in Designer’s Pixel Persona are only available in Photo, I prefer working in Publisher, as it gives me access to all features through StudioLink. However, I’ve noticed that the Export Persona is missing in Publisher. This is quite limiting, as the Export Persona provides powerful features for handling multiple export formats and slices efficiently. Would it be possible to implement the Export Persona in Affinity Publisher? Having access to it directly within Publisher would streamline the workflow for those of us who use all three apps. Thanks! Regards Jan
  2. I’d love to see an Opacity Jitter feature added to the brush settings. I have fully transitioned to Affinity, and I have brushes that I imported. However, they use Opacity Jitter, and I have not been able to fully replicate the result using other methods like accumulation, flow, and luminosity. Regards Jan
  3. Hi I plan to use the Assets library a lot more. Before I do, I would like to ask what is the best method to make a backup of this library. I have managed to delete my library previously during a re-install. I was also wondering if a large assets library has an impact on performance? Regards Jan
  4. Thanks, that solved my issue. 🙂 Regards Jan
  5. Hi Just a quick question about clipping mask. Attached is an example showing how the object's color at the outer edge bleeds through when the object is clipped. It doesn't show up when exporting, but is it possible to remove this effect during editing? I'm using the latest beta 2.6 Regards Jan
  6. I just came across a DAM called Peakto. I have checked that it shows different affinity files (.afphoto .afdesign .afpub). In addition, it has a modern user interface and has good search options. I use Mac and have not investigated whether it is developed for windows. It is recommended to take a closer look if you are looking for a DAM that displays affinity files. I still have the trial version but I will definitely buy this one.
  7. I am betting that I can achieve a good workflow with Affinity. As I wrote earlier, it is a bit more difficult with photo work as I am waiting for full Z8 compatibility, but I hope this is in place in v2.6. I have now ended all my other subscriptions and use Affinity as the core of all graphic work. However, I bought On1 2024 MAX as a replacement for Lr a few days ago as it also has good plugins for Affinity. On1 catalog does not yet support afphoto files, but several people have submitted a request for this to the developers. There are several reasons why I do not want to have a subscription model with Adobe that weighs more heavily than the actual functionality of the programs. It would be best if Affinity could develop their own DAM.
  8. I got the same result. Seems that u have to rasterize the layer without preserving FX and then add a gaussian blur to it.
  9. For creating assets for game development, affinity products are perfect. A separate DAM for affninity would have made it even better. have tried to switch to affninity with the photography, but it has not been quite as easy as with other graphic work. I have a large number of images in the library and depend on being able to take a quick review, catalogue, set keywords and rate them as well as simple raw development. I have tested out xnViewMP, but was not completely satisfied. I recently switched to the Nikon Z8 for photography and as LibRaw doesn't yet support this camera I can't open the NEF files in Affinity Photo either. (I think it will be supported pretty soon). I have therefore had to go back to Lr again. I doubt that Affinity is developing anything that is meant to compete with Lr. If I am going to do major editing work on individual images, I open the image from Lr directly to Affinity photo 2 as Tiff. I wish Affinity could offer a product that could compete with Lr, but until then I use both lr and Affinity.
  10. I have been looking at xnViewMP this weekend and It seems to be working very good on my Mac (m3max). I was able to use affinity files with it too.
  11. I have been looking at Daminion and IMatch but I use Mac and those are for windows. I like Excire 2024 a lot and I have requested them to support afphoto files. Until they do I am using tiff.
  12. Thanks for your replies. Finally I am only using Affinity 🙂
  13. Hi I am now using Affinity for my software development and landscape photography. Like others I miss a DAM feature that support afphoto files. I am using Bridge and Excire, and my solution so far is to export to a TIFF file instead of saving it to a .afphoto file. This seems to be working with different DAM software, Is there any downside using this method, or exporting to TIFF? Regards Jan
  14. I just bought this and it is very good. I can open my files into Affinity Photo, but Excire does not support .afphoto files. I hope they will add this soon.
  15. Hi I have noticed that a photo catalog feature for Affinity has been requested for some time. I am adding my request to that “list”. I am still using lightroom and have been able to use that with Affinity photo (If installing with msi). However Lr does not support .afphoto files. I found a nice photo organizer that can display thumbnails for Affinity photo files (Photo Supreme). It is not perfect so I will continue to Lr until I can find something else. I hope Affinity comes with some sort of an organizer in the future. Regards Jan
