Hello, New artwork all done from beginning to the end in Affinity Designer, with the entire video, about 2 hours to skip along and see. Love this software. Next week I get into Publisher and then who can say? Hopefully a Graphic Novel Series.

Hi All, I am new to Designing. And trying to create editable PDF files for my client. What are my current options? Can I create editable PDF directly on any of the Affinity products? If not, how can i go about it? Can I create designs etc on Affinity designer app and then somehow make the PDF editable to be filled by someone. Only basic few words need to be editable. Please help. thanks.!! -
If you change the displayed/active artboard of a multi artboard Designer file placed on a master page, this change won't be reflected on regular pages. It always shows the artboard that was first visible upon placing the file. It's possible this also happens with other types of multipage documents (Affinity Photo, PDFs) but I only tested with Designer files. Steps to reproduce: Open Affinity Designer Create a new document with 2 Artboards Draw a purple circle on the first artboard and a blue square in the second, just so they're instantly recognizable Save it somewhere, you can now close Designer, it won't be used anymore Create a new Publisher file, check Default Master so a master page is already applied to any pages added Add a few pages to the document, let's say 6, just so the issue is more evident Double click Master A in the Pages panel so you can add elements to it Place the Designer document you saved on step 4, by default it should show the first artboard, the purple circle Notice the purple circle is correctly displayed on all pages where the Master A is applied Back on the Master A, select the placed file and use the context toolbar to change to the second artboard You should now see the blue square on the master page as expected Notice that the blue square is not being shown on the pages where the master is applied, instead you continue to see the purple circle This is not just a visual bug, if you export a PDF all pages will indeed have the purple circle instead of the blue square Thanks!

Graphic Novel skill set begins. I have written a sci-fi novel. I am learning Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher on my own, I will attempt Book 1 as a Graphic Novel in a series. I may try 50 pages at first, as one guy, no staff my way way, I'd say at least 2 years. But I have kept at this and I can hopefully do it one day. This art is just me practicing, all original, will be the way I go it alone. Although send money if you wish. He he he. You people at Affinity have great products as far as I am concerned, I need to get up to speed, going fast enough though for now. This is not the novel but a learning lesson.

Greetings I am wondering if there is a way to keep font size when doing transforms (shrinking, stretching...). I am trying to keep the whole documents with the same font size, but need to resizing some of the groups frequently to arrange things. I know it may looks wired if some of the text don't resize as other components, but I can adjust them later, still better than I have to fix every text one by one. As in most cases, they looks fine actually. Thanks! -

As a newbie to Affinity Designer, I'm loving it. Below are my sample works which starts from basic to medium. I used Affinity Spotlight website to populate my magazine design mockup and another magazine design original. I sure do hope Affinity comes up with their companion magazine, because that would be cool!

When I’m opening this in AD somehow the whole thing is mirrored; the arrow is pointing left, the rotation handle is at the bottom and if I’m using the arrow keys to move the selection, it moves it in the opposite directions (i. e. using the up arrow key moves the objects down etc.). Is this a bug or am I missing something? Can anyone reproduce this? -
Hi . Sorry for bothering - but I have kind of a. problem . I m using Affinity Designer / Photo Combo for work. For around 5 days Im struggling to launch any of this applications. Both are crashing at launch with very similiar crash report. Ive tried reinstallation, master reset, Mac OS safe mode deleting save files etc. Still the same result. There is some memory problem - but as far as I know - lack of RAM problem is not a deal in Mac OS. Storage - still a lot of space. Thanks in advance for reply and help. Crash report in attachment. Hello I love doing transit maps or diagrams in my spare time - just for fun. This time I want to show you the tram network of Innsbruck, Austria. In addition to that I have also included mountain railways and commuter railways in that area. I did a sketch of a cartoon Alita after watching the movie way back. Never got around to actually fleshing it out. What i like about AD for iPad is the really clean lines with the pencil tool + stabiler + editable line weight. I'll be documenting my progress every session I give time for this piece.

I like the new embedded Option in affinity Designer, but where in hell can i find the managing panel for embedding or linking the pictures??? Many times the pictures are not proper linked anymore, when i open a file, for which reason ever... Please, i spend hours to check every menu and search the net for solutions.. I gave already multiply times global authorization for the pictures... Thanks Dirk
