I think there's something else going on here(hardware issues, drivers, issues caused by windows update, etc). We run in user mode, so cannot crash/hang your entire system. I just tried opening those RAW files on a VM with very limited resources(1 core CPU, 6gb ram) and it took about 3min to open them all.

It's probably just rending the thumbnails for the recents dialog. If you leave it for a minute or so, does the load on the CPU drop?

The double click to change layer has Fill opacity within Blend options set to 60%

That's not a ghost artboard. In Designer, you can have documents without artboards, and this is what you end up with when you delete that single artboard. We are aware of the second issue. In the future, please create one thread per issue

We can't replicate this here. What is your screen resolution and scale?

It cannot be the same issue. Windows doesn't have a custom pressure profile inside Preferences. Please create a new post so we can investigate it.
