You will find them in your Brushes panel in the V1 app where you installed the brush. You can Create a new category using the hamburger menu (3 lines) for the Brushes panel, then You can select the brush and you can move it or copy it to that category by right-clicking on it. Then you can export that category, using the hamburger menu, and import it into V2.

linked EPS disappearing in AFPUB2
walt.farrell replied to cwoodhou's topic in V2 Bugs found on macOS
There are several topics discussing EPS (but also some other formats) "disappearing" in Publisher files because something is becoming corrupted and their sizes show up as 0px x 0px (or 0mm x 0mm) and thus Publisher thinks there's nothing to display. I've only seen one so far that has an actual bug tag associated with it, but I think they're probably all the same underlying problem: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AFB-6881 -
I believe that "freely reusable..." is not a statement about copyright; it is a statement about licensing. The copyright is still retained by the original creator, unless they say that they are placing it in the Public Domain or otherwise make a specific statement about giving up the copyright. I can let you use my copyrighted material freely for all purposes. Or freely for some purposes. Or I can charge you for its use. Or I can let you use it with restrictions, such as "you may use it freely but you must credit me in anything you create". But I still retain the copyright, and one thing you cannot do is claim you created that original work.

Thanks for the added details. No, funds haven't been deducted. They've simply been "held" by your bank, and will be released in a few days (as determined by your bank's policy for incomplete transactions). I appreciate that you can't use those funds right now, but Serif doesn't have them, either. There's more about this in the FAQ, and for additional assistance you can email affinity@serif.com or (better) wait for a response to your earlier emails.

Here's one from me. Note that no matter what color is shown by the Color Picker, the color well in the Color Studio becomes or stays white. IMG_1101.MOV

Right. And some will be handled incorrectly. And the developers need to watch each new release or patch of CorelDraw and figure out what might have changed. Yes, it can be done, but it is time-consuming, and when it is done it then becomes necessary to invest further time in the future to keep re-reverse-engineering to pick up the changes. And when you've done one, lots of users will say "but why didn't you do <this one> that I really wanted" and expect you to reverse engineer 25 other formats, too. If a developer wants to play that game, that's their decision. But if they decide they'd rather focus their limited resources elsewhere, that's also their decision.

Uninstalling is handled via Start > Settings, Apps.

If you examine the pulldown for Text > Capitalization you will see that the top 3 (I think) entries are separated from the entries below them by a line. The items above the line are formatting options, which modify how the text will be displayed but do not actually change the text. The items below the line are immediate actions which physically modify the text. You can apply formatting to a field; you cannot apply actions.

Only about 3 business days, though. And they are running quite behind still, as the banner at the top of this page shows. How did you purchase? From the Affinity Store, or via in-app purchase? If via in-app purchase, where did you download the Trial app? If you have an account at the Affinity Store, have you checked to see if the purchase is registered there? Check the "V2" tab at https://affinity.store/account and you can see if it's there.

Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office
walt.farrell replied to Stenness's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
If Cyber Protect includes any firewall functions, you might try turning them off to see if that helps. -
Inserting Images, Publisher
walt.farrell replied to dannyB's topic in Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
An Image layer would typically be a JPEG, TIFF, or PNG file, I think. An Embedded Document would be some other kind of file (.afphoto, .afdesign, .afpub, SVG, PDF, EPS, etc.). I don't think it should make a difference in how they behave, but I've never tried it. Can you tell us: What OS you're using, and what version of Publisher? What kind of files the Images are, and what the Embedded Documents are? The Resource Manager should show this. If you try again, but adding a file that shows up as Image, do you get the old or the new behavior? Can you share that .afpub file with us? If it's something private a Moderator can provide a private upload link if they need to see it. -
Good catch. And JPEG XL also seems to be missing in the Export Persona.

Syncing Color Swatches in Affinity Designer 2
walt.farrell replied to Andrew Albin's topic in iPad Questions
For now, Andrew, I think you would have to manually export and import the swatches as you make changes to them. At least in V2 the iPad versions of the Affinity apps have finally gained the ability to import/export palettes, so manual "synchronization" is now possible. -

Magnet wont work in Files from Affinity Designer 1
walt.farrell replied to Rheinwehr's topic in V2 Bugs found on iPad
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Can you show us a screenshot, or have your iPad record a video, to demonstrate what you're seeing? -
When you Develop, are you Developing to RGB-16 or RGB-32? That's a setting in the Develop Assistant. You can check it by clicking the Assistant icon on the Toolbar, or opening Preferences in Photo and clicking on Assistant. If it's set to 32-bit, you should probably set it to 16-bit and see if that helps. If you're already in the Develop Persona you'll need to close that image and start over with it from the RAW file.

ver. 1.10.5 update
walt.farrell replied to Seeitsnapit's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
You might have originally purchased v1 from Serif, and in that case you can find your email and Product Code at https://affinity.store/account/downloads Or you might have purchased from the Microsoft Store, in which case you don't have a Product Key, and you need to install from the Microsoft Store.
