Also note that if you have a multi-page Publisher document, and you Open it in Designer to get the Export Persona, you can only export 1 spread at a time. You can navigate between the spreads, but the Export process in the Export Persona will only handle 1 spread each time you ask it to Export Slices. Working in Designer from the start, using Artboards, will probably be more efficient for the described problem.

Yes, that's how it works. When you Open a file in an Affinity application a working copy is made and saved in the project directory for the application. When you no longer need it, you need to Close it from the application.

But in the prior set of screenshots, it seems that the contrast is slightly better in the Mac version. Still not good, but better than on Windows, perhaps. Still, the answer at this point is to use the Light UI.

OK. Your phrasing seemed to suggest that you considered it an improvement request: "Not sure if this was already suggested" "Would be nice a improvement to this." If we're looking at it as a potential problem (or even if we're considering it as a suggestion, I suppose), I'm a bit confused about what you're describing. You've shown us something circular (I'm not sure what you're showing, exactly, given how far in you've zoomed), but you say "but the pixels between outside stroke and the rectangle fill". Also, when I make an ellipse shape in Designer, I don't see any pixels between the outside stroke and the fill. So I'm confused about what kind of object you're talking about, and exactly what you're showing us. Could you also provide the .afdesign document, please?

That's the best one. But in Designer, whatever text frame I double-clicked into, the Context Toolbar showed the missing Open Sans font.

And lots of other places in that document, too, when I looked at it.

No, Designer does not have Find/Replace, nor the Font Manager, nor Preflight. All those would let you do it, but all are newer functoions only available in Publisher. If you get that message when Opening a PDF, you have the opportunity to substitute a different font, but other than that I think you'll need to use some other application to find the text that uses the font. Edit: Or you'll need to manually put the text cursor into the text and see what font is shown in the Context Toolbar.

You're right. Having that setting visible is inconsistent, and possibly it should be removed, too.

It is a function that did not exist in any Affinity application until Publisher canned out, and it still exists only in Publisher. Therefore it seems like a conscious decision on Serif's part. Note that Publisher can be used for simpler documents, too. It is not limited to complex books.

This can change the color of column guides using the top well. You cannot change the color of ruler guides; that's what this topic is about.

You can either: Export a PDF from PagePlus and Open or Place it in Publisher; or Select the document content in PagePlus, Copy, and Paste it into a new document in Publisher.

Where did you install it from?

What tool are you "drawing" with? Have you made the Artboard active by selecting it in the Layers panel or clicking on it before you start drawing? Do you have any layers in the Artboard already, and if so which one is active when you try to draw? Can you capture and provide a video of this happening, so we can see exactly what you're doing? (Your post feels more appropriate for the Questions section of the forum, rather than the Feedback section, by the way. But I would continue the discussion in this topic; a Moderator can move it to the other section if appropriate.)

Didn't you post that in the timeframe when Serif asked users to re-post if their post hadn't been answered, as they lost track of some in the 1.9 flurry of problems? I would make a new report, in the current Bugs topic (But possibly you could Report your own post here, to get their attention.)

You're using the color well for the Margin colors (bottom) rather than the color well for the Column Guides (top).

It's not acknowledged as a bug yet. This discussion is taking place in the Questions part of the forum, not the Bugs part of the forum. It has had no participation from Serif, and in particular there's no bug tag showing that it's been logged. This is the only topic mentioning Sigmaplot, so it isn't reported elsewhere, either. From that, I would conclude there's little chance of a change in the near future.

It does seem to be something about the Cafe24Ohsquare font. I'm suspicious of the 2nd line that I show below, for two reasons: There's a space in the middle of the font name, when compared with the 1st line. Just guessing, but the ",700" may indicate the use of a Variable font, which are not supported by Affinity. There are no layers in the Develop Persona, so if you were able to add layers I don't think you were in the Develop Persona. Perhaps you didn't start with a RAW file? I agree that a video would be helpful.

Welcome you the Serif Affinity forums, @Felipe Bonanca. If it's the same problem, it should be explained by the Nahimic software mentioned above. If you examine the list of Windows Services that are running you'll probably find it there. Stop that service, and the problem should be resolved. You'll also need to Disable it so it doesn't start again.
